Disliked[b]new rumors...day by day for euro swiss..haha
Central bank intervention could emerge any day now given where we are. How they act will influence the way investors think they will intervene going forward.
Indeed, the franc is near the cap set by the Swiss National Bank and the bank may come out with another intervention any day. Jean-Pierre Danthine, Member of the SNB Governing Board, reiterated at the press conference on January 24 that the bank plans to keep the Swiss currency weaker:

DislikedI know, that technical things is not so important with this instrumentum, but it is a beautifull falling edge on H4 timeframe. Target is 1.2180. On friday it was the third minimum so we could break out to northIgnored
DislikedMy personal expectation is that when we get to 1.2005 (or 1.205), banks will look into liquidity and see trillions of CHF waiting to be sold. Everybody will hold their breath for a few minutes and the CHF will start to trend in the opposite direction. I don't think they will pull a Japan style intervention. I don't see what they have to gain from this.
And anybody who thinks that they can break the barrier... good luck. My personal opinion is that since the SNB has unlimited ability to create electronic CHF only a policy change can break...Ignored
DislikedDoes anyone here remember previous interventions while defending 1.5 cap for example? I'm wonder what time does it typically occur... I remember the one in Sep 2011 which was about 9 or 10 GMT but I don't know if it's a rule. Do you think it's possible for SNB to at night?Ignored
DislikedEURCHF was below the 1.2000 in interbank trading.
somewhere in the 1.1970 area. They pulled it up before open. Maybe the interbanks tested if SNB is there with their bids? If the first stops will be hit expect an avanlanche of stops creating a domino effect downwards.
SNB will have to bring quite some money to the table... sigh... again :-)Ignored
DislikedRemember USDJPY last year? sudden drop of few hundred pips?
just because of the avalanche of stops being hit. This is a ticking time bomb.
Even if the SNB would step in many will have margin calls already.
And if they higher the peg, well then we have a new target to aim for.
Screenshot is during interbank. no sign of SNB or the BIS.
I'd laugh my ass off if we hit those major stops below the 1.2000.
I'm not trading this pair.Ignored
