It has been explained many many times here ... maybe not in a sufficient way ... as most of those "so-called experts" doesn't know it better as well ...

But "GAPS" they do exist ... but they are really very very very rare in FOREX ...

Those "GAPS" that you can observe on your charts from your finance services with limited access to the markets are not existing ... they are not the same as an direct access data feed can provide to you ...

And yes ... that is one of the good reasons why it is highly recommended not to trade with all those MetaTrader Finance Services with open positions thrughout and over long week-ends ... because you cannot react then ... as only others can ...

Yes ... other participatiants they can ... you could as well ... but not with a too small account ... and not with a usual online service ...

That's why it is not recommended to leave the market with open active positions during such periods ...

Im a scalper and more than 80 % of my trades are pivot based.
I use the Fibonacci Daily Pivots and its amazing how accurate they are.
Ive done a lot of testing..

I tried 5 pm also 7 pm (Tokyo opening)
but in my mind calculating Pivots at 6 pm US Time
what would be midnight in Europe (Germany) makes the best results and the
most accurate Pivot lines.

Maybe thats only subjective but at present i dont see any disadvantages
calculating pivots at 6 am Us Time.

Again, someone said that also, after i started using Pivots i finally found my way to trade.

Yes ... it is their accuracy and reliability that is pretty convincing for a trader ...

Moreover in case you talk about with other real business parties ... then you will see that many of them do have the same key-points and levels in mind ...

Maybe that's an additional reason why they work pretty good ... because there are many focused on them ...

I said i use 6 pm for calculating the Pivots, but im not bone heated
i try to be open minded and accept someone others opinion if he knows it better.

Why im writing this is because i started again to think about the right time for the pivots calculations.
I read today again about the 5 pm time and in some way thats logical so im a little 'confused' again

Let me show you my last observations. Made this pics few days ago..
All on the same day, with different time setup.

First picture shows the Fib. Pivots calculated at Midnight (6 pm US Time)
Second, Fib. Pivot at 5 pm
Third, at 7 pm

So thats why i said 6 pm should be ok, but maybe i had only a lucky hit.

I see, that will be one of my favorite threads on FF..

But under INTERBANK Conditions is a commonly widespread use of ROLLOVER at 23:00 CET / 22:00 UTC / 17:00 EST ...

Therefore this one is a preliminary calculation ...

Don't use the default settings for determination of Sup3 and Res3 ... use the ones as shown here instead of ... then you are halfway travelling on the sunny side of the Avenue des Champs-Élysées or the Kurfürsten Damm if you like ...

But never ever get hopelessly lost at the eastern side (Unter den Linden) of the Brandenburg Gate ... then you are travelling under wrong license and you might probably find yourself getting into wrong crowd there ...

And then the things go downhill ... with the ugly ones ...

But in case of some of you was able to buy something near 1.3045/ 43 zone ... then you can cover now these positions at around 1.3072/ 76 area ...

There might be some pullback at first ...

Continuation of previous attempts later or maybe at another convenient point of time ...

Try to combine Pivotal Method in trading with other sufficient methods of determination for direction and determination of the right point of time to react ...

For those who do have made some own observations ... they may share here ...

Useful own observations are welcome ... but please refrain from usual bickering or bullshitting ... or similar disturbing actions as before ... which do have nothing to do with real own trading practices ...

It's trying to print a rebound pattern below some resistance structures ...

That is obviously the name of the game for today ...

(jetzt aber..)

I took the TrendCCI Indi 3 days ago into the chart and try him in M1.
Could not trade the last days, but what i can say till now,
seems to be a nice addition for the Pivots, and the Pivots for him.
