likley knee-jerk sell on that current a/c data but market generally buoyed up then by the upside revision to Q3 Gdp - uk to +0.6%

i dont even look at news..trading is difficult enough..its tricky yesterday dailly aint good but maybe a trap..if havent fallen below the low of yesterday so a short is dangerous..thats the trap
I agree, I don't trade news either, but I do look at it from time to time because I am curious how news items often come out at important technical levels to justify the move. I have what is likely a misplaced theory that the whole thing is rigged to divert us from paying close attention to our charts and trading technical patterns/levels etc.

Currently short but movement lacking so far. 1 hr looks like we could have the appearence of the caped crusader. Euro still looking like a fighter on the ropes, so need to be careful of getting caught with a sucker punch. Looks like market will wait for US data, so will close before that and look to reenter short.

yur chart shows bearish diverence as well..against my positions..hope it doesnt trigger
Wonder how many are playing the potential H&S on 1hr/4hr ?

Generally rangy intraday atm, 50sma - 1hr and steepest 1hr ascending trend line at the current 1hr candle lo.

my view on the whole thing is justification, human weakness..u ever notice everything is justified..its the chicken egg story..what comes first


news or chart?..i say chart
if u listen to news u cant long term trade effectively..because news is emotional and system needs to be mechanical

this is why poundtrader is something else the some bitch dont even use charts..lol (and been here 10 years)

Good luck everyone, wife and new baby need me and this forum is far too addictive for me. I will still trade but this pirate must leave this discussion. I love this place too much so must leave unfortunately, priorities are elsewhere. Perhaps when the kid leaves home I shall return.

The trade didn't go by the best plan for me. But hiding SL at the very best place is sometimes the B plan which also goes with the initial plan. I don't like the idea that main move of the month has changed to up. We have already reached the TP1 point @ 1.5649 and I think that we now might jump back to ~1.5717. Afterwords the 1.5629 area is most likely to be reached. If not today - tomorrow then. But it all depends on the near future PA given. As you might see I've already saved some profits. And am moving my SL to +1 now.
