Not arguing with you. Just exemplifying my point earlier that my entries are based on confidence and clarity. There is a difference between gambling and stacking probabilities. I view gambling as playing 50:50 chances. Our jobs as traders are not to 'play' but to trade based on careful analysis.
..I suppose I am arguing with you a little bit.
Everything in life that has two possible outcomes is 50/50 no matter what the law of probabilities tell you.
Win/lose 50/50
up/down 50/50
in/out 50/50
life/death 50/50
Risk/reward Ratio is always 1:1 You either gain or lose (other than break even)
If you enter a trade because you calculate that the odds are in your favor, then it means that there is a greater chance that you will gain than lose. However, you are still faced with only two possible outcomes... win/lose = 50/50 hehehe
Everything in life is a gamble. Just because you calculate that you have a much greater chance of gain than loss, it is still a chance... therefore a gamble.
Every time you go out in your car to drive somewhere, you take a gamble.
1. Some other car may crash in to yours, or yours in to another car.
2. Your engine may fail
3. Your tire may explode
4. An asteroid may crash down on top of you.
All of the above, have a very low chance of happening, but as long as they are still possibilities, you take a gamble every time you drive that car.
