For me i dont trust the 1m time frame at all,i like to see what going on big time frames then search for a chance on 5m timeframe

Yes, I use it when the market is in quick movement, usually it is just after the important news. And when I do this I refer to the large time frame.

Hi, I am new here but have been following this column for a while. I know that there is EA with email alert with this system. But I am not sure how to make this work with MT4. Can anyone help?

Thank you. May I know which tread do I need to refer? There are many post in the forum. Is there one which is specifically related to this 5 min simple follower system. I just can't get the email alert to work. Everything is working fine.

Jon,

in MT4 go to tools > options > email.
Config and test - that's all.

I have been using this EA for some time, though I would like to know if some modifications could be made.

1) I would like to see the slope line removed from the EA, as it is NOT part of generating an entry point.

2) As there appears to be some delay between when the system generates an entry point and the EA confirms the entry point, I like to
see an arrow included on the chart at the point the EA confirmed the entry point and generated the email that was sent as part of
the EA, with the arrow also being of a different color to those used in the system, as this would identify any delays between when
the system generated an entry point and when the EA confirms the entry point.

If you look at the chart on the first post to the thread made by the OP, you will notice that the slope line changes color before the entry point is confirmed with an arrow, though this is not always the case, there are times that the slope line changes color two or three candles after the entry point is confirmed by the system, this in effect would delay an entry when using the EA, so I would prefer to see the slope line removed from the EA.

With this EA I set it up to send an email, then in the MT4 I set it to send an email to my cell phone, so I do not have to sit in front of my computer all the time.

i installed trend follower wicker EA v1.1.0.It just only alert displayed.It don't trade automatically.is it latest version?
