Funny so using the "system" I noticed around 60% win ratio.

I then got the EA up and running to send me an email in which I LOST 80% of the time when I conducted a trade on my phone...

Anyone still using this system?

I will probably edit the coding as I do not feel the email is sent quick enough, I think there should be an ENTRY email and and EXIT email and no other emails because it can get quite annoying

This system is ideal for 1h and 4h time frame for beginners.5m tf is crazy mental waste of time and many for 99 percentage people on any system.

I stumbled across this system looking to tweak my 5 minute chart strategy. I've downloaded and have been reviewing historical data in relation to the signals and instructions. Seems like it is a good system. I must say, I don't think one can be successful with this or any system if they don't understand basic price action.

Plus one key instruction was to wait for a pull back after a break out to enter (safer way to enter a trade). However, if you understand price action, and resistance levels, I don't see why one couldn't take the break out trades (more pips! more pips!). Just my opinion.

Also, if you shoot for a 1 to 1 win/loss ratio, or a 1 to 2 ratio, but not more than that, this system looks like it might be up in the 80-90 percent win/loss rate.

Anyway, I'd be interested to hear of anyone who'd like to share their experience with this system, if you been using it for a while...

So, my first trade, I gained 20% on my capital. Currently in a trade, up 10 pips. So far so good.

However, I don't think this is a "follow the signals" easy system that doesn't require you to think. Would love it if that were the case, but unfortunately not a perfect world...

There are many things to take into account when entering/exiting a trade. Obviously, the trend direction, which this tool make very clear. But there are also pivot points, never know if it will bounce or blast through. And finally, price action, i.e. candle stick patterns/formations. So, I think if you have a good understanding of these principles, you can be successful with this tool. I'm hoping I fit that category. We'll see...

I think the most benefit I find wit this tool, is it really helps you to see the trend of the market at a glance. So, if you are entering a trade on the 5M chart, be sure to check higher time frames to ensure the trend direction is the same.

I don't really enter or exit trades based on the arrows though, unless the price action agrees or it is bouncing off a pivot point. Seems like the arrows might be right 50% of the time, maybe. But you also have to factor in setting your SL and TP correctly, or it might not even hit the 50% win ratio. One way the arrows might be helpful, is if you enter a trade based on price action, trend, pivot points, and soon thereafter you see an arrow confirming direction, good confirmation. Or, if you see an arrow but nothing else to confirm entry, wait for a pull back, and if everything looks good, enter on the pull back. Having said all of this about the arrows, though, if you actually follow the rules, i.e. MACD above zero, and all the other stuff Wicker recommends, then it might have a really good success rate on the 5M chart, however, you'd be spending most of your time waiting for those signals. I don't think you would get more than 1 per week on any given pair. I'd prefer to use the tool a little less rigidly to pick up more trading opportunites, but that's just me...

Anyway, my thoughts so far on this, is I really like the tool. It enables me to enter trades with much more confidence. Anyone else have any thoughts on how they are using it?

As I was perusing the thread for the Trend Follower I noticed there were so many enhancements to the system that were spread out over the entire thread and hard to find except by going through every post.

You can use the little paper clip symbol next to the subscribe and +reply to Thread at the top of the screen but you still have to search through this list. If you use this list here and then search for the post it may help you to enjoy it more!

I needed a reference to all the enhancements as they progressed to the final version and that is the goal of this list below. Here you will find a complete listing of all the indicators and their post reference to find out more about them and the changes as they progressed. Most of the evolution of the indicators has been completed I noticed by the last one in the list as best as I can tell.

Lastly from reading through the thread I personally feel that you should first learn the basic original system, then add the indicator enhancements as you see fit to help you. Mostly I like the signal alert when conditions are present that could then involve my manual input whether I want to enter the trade or not based on my knowledge of the how the basic system works.

Use a good manual trade management ea to manage your trade once you enter it.

Is currently someone trading this system??

I've tried this system numerous times, and the conclusion I've come to is that it simply doesn't work for me, regardless of what time frame I use.

There are too many things to look at and try to keep track of, and I end up stressed out from all of the signals on multiple pairs, or even just one pair, trying to figure out if it is a good trade or not.

This might be a good system for some traders, but not a good system for me.

I've found a much simpler system works better for me. Simply price action on H1, H4, and D1 time frames.

Kind of breaking it down...

1) make sure all the indicators line up (there are numerous indicators if you include the colored lines)
2) make sure the pivot points line up and are in agreement with you trade, and give your trade enough room
3) Check higher time frames (assuming the 5 minute time frame is used) to make sure there isn't a conflicting trend or signal
4) Make sure you aren't trading during big news announcements or a spike could take you out (again assuming 5 minute time frame)
5) Also, make sure you are trading on a pull back and not a break out (again assuming 5 minute time frame, as many false break outs can occur on the shorter time frames)

In addition to the above, here is the standard analysis regarding R:R in that you need to make sure that your SL is the right ratio in relation to the profit target.

So, if all of the above sounds easy to master, and you like a step by step mechanical approach with multiple steps, then maybe this system will work for you...

Again, not saying it is not a good system, just not right for me. Maybe this will help someone else determine if if is right for them...

Give the system to run alone for just 2 weeks... You will agree what I say..!

I apologize for not coming here in over a decade. I am still roaming this earth though. It seems that now for years (I do not know how many) neither pictures nor downloads or other things were working on the website where our trend follower is posted. I came just here to give you an update that I have now fixed the images and download links as well so you can continue using this system.
