One of the reasons that make me sure there would be an intervention is that u are saying there would be no intervention!
As u remember, before BOJ intervention, u repeatedly said the Azzumi doesn't have any power, and we wont see any boj intervention. But after a while BOJ entered into the market. In that time u said u had some short positions, and I think u experienced good time after BOJ intervention!!! It seems u wanna experience those memorable stories with short positions in this pair again! OK good luck

i dont have any orders in this pair...but it seems to be targeting downwards....and mostly TP3 seems to be more logical...

What if SNB is about to announce a Switzerland Based Swiss Bond Sale, Would that make you stop and think?

I, for one, will stand Aside until my windscreen wipers can clear the fog. (windshield wipers for the Brits/Europeans)

There are Lots of other toys in the playpen. Perhaps I wont touch EURCHF for another year or so but when I do, I will have more of a reason than...
"They Told Me So."

Please get your facts right !

- I had a short position of which 2/3rd was sold with nice profit, 1/3rd was sold at break even before leaving on a trip to Rome
- I shorted the initial bounce, as said many times before. It sold off 300 pips !
- I indeed said the BOJ was probably not up to the task. Perhaps I was wrong, perhaps not, time will tell. Do you see a break of the downtrend ?
I don't !

IMO
Global Economics is much more important in a bigger picture. A bunch of speculators made franc so overvalueted as it is now. And swiss economy just can't survive in a conditions like this. Then we'll have a paradox of economy collapse cause of overvalued currency based on what? Currency strenght and nothing more? Currency strengt based on daily traders? Yes, it can go for a while, but not forever...
First cap was all about that. Imagine situation where swiss handle with EURCHF at 0.80 or less, surrounded with EU countries. In 6 months there would be no jobs in CH.
SNB is waiting for EUR issue to be resolved so they can make next decision, that's all, and only way 1.20 can stay 1.20 is in CHFDEM.

Do you expect EU problems to be solved by next week ? BTW, eur/chf new low in anticipation of EU showing some strenght in solving debt crisis ;-)

Why this fixation with SNB rasising floor ? Do you enter long positions based on the possibility of that happening ? If so, you could be waiting for a mighty long time. All imo !

FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - The Swiss KOF Leading indicator decreased to 0.35 in November, from 0.75 registered the previous month, the KOF Institute reported today.

The result is lower than the expected fall to 0.63. According to the official press release: “The current KOF Economic Barometer signals that year-on-year growth of Swiss Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is likely to be minimal in the near future.”

KOF number was an absolute disaster - 0.35 vs 0.65 expected and 0.75 previous. And yet, the pair isn't able to move to the upside.

Is the SNB losing grip or just satisfied with a 1.20 floor ? LOL

Or could it be that the markets are realizing that the SNB is unable to raise the floor due to e.g. inflation issues ? Imo, the SNB is well aware of the fact that 1.20 is the maximum floor they can cope with.

Price action seems to suggest that SNB fear is slowly disappearing ;-)

Euro is surging against the Usd/GbP/Cad/Jpy ... but what about the Chf ? At the low of day !!!!

How much proof does one need to realize that the SNB will not raise the floor, especially when we take into account todays news: CB's agreed upon lower swap rates today.

1.20 is and will remain the line in the sand. Now, who told us that the SNB would raise the floor this week, or next week at the very latest ? LOL

I don't know, perhaps they only plan to intervene when price drops below 1.20 ... in that case 0 times.

Curious to see that the Euro is strenghening accross the board .. except against the Chf. Imo, perfect proof of longs chances for a floor raise are close to 0% ;-)

Eur/Chf at last weeks lows. Needless to say that 1.22 will be next stop if and when this level doesn't hold.

Guess it doesn't matter for those believing that SNB will raise floor next week latest ;-)
