Hehe so the rumoured statement didn't materialise. Surprise surprise. Looks like someone's been having some Friday afternoon fun. Good for them; a nice profit to be had in that upswing if you were nippy enough to get out when it started dropping just after 4GMT. I'll raise a glass of single malt to them later tonight!

Cap at 1.35 this/next week (after EUR)
6-9 month stable level 1.36-1.39
They will however defend the 1.20 level. Your wish for a higher floor this or next week seems nothing more than wishfull thinking. So high time you quit dreaming ... time to step back into reality ;-)

What ? SNB will not raise floor as recent numbers indicate that current floor is sufficient. Moreover, the raise to 1.20 was a stunt they can pull once but not twice unless they want to cause a fight with their EU collegues.
They will however defend the 1.20 level. Your wish for a higher floor this or next week seems nothing more than wishfull thinking. So high time you quit dreaming ... time to step back into reality ;-)

Look at what's happening in the Eurozone. Things go from bad to worse. Imo SNB will have its hands full protecting the 1.20 level if the EU crisis deepens. No way that they would, under current circumstances (Swiss econ numbers not too bad and EU crisis) raise the floor. Raising the floor now could cause a serious and possible fatal overload for the SNB.

Swiss wants 1,40 and higher. They are losing export and movin manufacturing abroad. They shop for groceries in Germany and even ski season will be weak cause of strong franc.
Besides all this, Italian, German and Austrian banks are highly exposed in easteuropean franc mortgages, higher cap is good for them, they will surely make no problem about it.
