yields coming gown and equities are in good shape...expect (with a little struggle) to break back above 3500 !?

We all need to learn a lot. Bear in mind that unlike any other science, economy was born (separated from social sciences) at beginning of 20th century. It is a very young and unexplored science. Thats why I find it such a fun.

We saw this on Thursday last week. Anyway, my long has booked half profit, is at break even and up 27 pips.

Edit: anybody think we are up for a wide channel decent into hell? I have taken a couple of liberties with my TL. Please forgive.

Thanks, that's in line with my thinking and I've taken a couple of longs with a tight trail, now looking at the **00 area. Whilst the larger candles on that last fall were on higher than usual volumes - for the time of day - the remaining consolidation was on low vols until the normal FO increase....

Edit: Cable's move was similar.....

Looks like profit taking here. Finally a retrace. Nice one

This looks very similar to what happened last Thursday, except this time tomorrow is not a bank holiday.

The market wants to go bull today. That translates into another short opportunity. Can't wait. I still have my limit orders around 1.3602 and 1.3674

Stepping out for a bit. Back in an hour or so.

Well guys I bottled it. I couldn't hold me euro for any longer. I've managed it to a close at 3520. I'm certainly not gonna moan at the haul of pips I've had out of this sucker since Monday morning. Had +105 out of it on the way down on some scale outs, and 200+ on the last 1/3rd.

Yes I lost my bottle in terms of holding it, but damn am I happy with the way the trade went

Hit the 50% retrace from yesterdays high in an ultra high vol marubozo. Now stalled so I'm getting ready to sell off my 5m / 1m charts as soon as I get a signal....

Just read in FxPros newsletter that

The air of calm that pervaded the start of the week lasted barely for a few hours. By yesterday, it had morphed into a full scale rout in European bonds that saw spreads to Germany widen out once again. Banks are taking any opportunity to sell and the decline in liquidity as year-end approaches will only serves to make matter worse and prices more volatile. The distance between the 'haves' and 'have-nots' is growing ever greater. German yields are down nearly 0.25% so far this week and in Switzerland, investors are paying the government to have their money, yesterday's 3-mth t-bill sale coming in at a yield of -0.30%.

You think she will go that high just today? I think it is too far, maybe after full 24 hrs she will be somewhere close to that. Or even next (tomorrow) NY session.

I just realized, that I might have forgotten about putting SL on my hedging short that was sitting on 1.35... On the other hand, if the downtrend will remain intact I will be fine. And correction should make me some profit on longs (small but always some) so maybe I will be able to book the loss and still have a green day overall. We will see, right now I can only sit & watch. I start to think, that I simply do not have time for forex trading. When I had at least few hrs a day It was going better.
