I would just be very very cautious. We are in uncharted waters. We could be on the verge of another meltdown in the markets. Everything is in the air. When the Swiss intervened there was a 1000 PIP move in seconds.

They are not all on the same side. Gold went up $50 US today for a reason. All I am saying is be careful out there. Tomorrow is Doomsday or INTERVENTION day however it will not be a boring day.

It is as I said earlier when Gold goes up $50 US on the eve of BS Day then Gold over $1700 means something. Please read what John says.

Agree. Japan is spouting off watching Europe.

Check this video out and let me know your opinion. The video talks about the end of the dollar as the reserve currency and the implications that will follow. He starts selling strategies at the end so I'd shut it off before then... I know China has been calling for a new reserve currency not to mention the historic declines in the dollar's value against other currencies.

I don't have much to add since yesterday's morning update.

All still looks the same and the plan out of the EZ is still as elusive as it was yesterday.

We do have some econ data out of the US today.

08:30am EST US Core Durable Goods Order (m/m) Expecting 0.5% vs -0.1% last

10:00am EST US New Home Sales expecting 302K vs 295k last

10:30am EST Crude Oil Inventories expecting 0.5M vs -4.7M last

That's it folks.

Let's see if price makes it to 1.4010 today.
The equity indices and futures are looking a bit flat to bullish.
Price has had a very hard time trying to close above 1.3940 and below 1.3850 since yesterday morning, so that will be today's challenge.
For me, there are too many unknowns to be trading the range so I will remain flat... except for playing with my M1 scalping strategy

But, honestly, I think most don't mind that, as until EUR-meeting press is held, EURUSD remains in "silence zone". Silence before a storm. I only hope this storm will doom EUR, not my account.

I am now already holding one (smallest entry possible to me) short. I know I should wait, but that is probably the best I can get, as I would probably become online too late. One additional sell limit is waiting at 1.40. Wide SL up to 1.42, as we may get another false break and stop hunting may cause touching 1.41. We will see, either I win or lose. I only hope that the sideway market will end today, as I am growing pretty sick of it.

And I am not in a mood for EUR longs, so if we somehow proceed upwards, then I will perhaps switch to oil (especially if crude oil inventories fall). When I look back at my accounts history, I was performing best on commodities.

This sideways still better than UJ,break 1.3980 bullish might keep continues to test 1.413
