I don't know man.. I have lost interest in cable.. perhaps it will go to 5880 or maybe 5900.. but i'll wait before thinking shorting this pair..

about eurgbp i cant say anyting i really dont know it.
about GU what makes me bit in doubt is price so near but same time so far from that green lower TL.

no time to think on setups now... i closed my long @ 5820 now i let it go for weekly closing.

my profits' chart found support @weekly opening price
things gone better in the middle of the week when gu started the big move up to 57 n 58 area

i deleted all info about amounts etc coz i have no reason to share them

sincerely i already started my shorts but with veeeeery small lots for the moment coz is possible a move to 59 area.

if price looses this hourly uptrend we could also see a daily move to test that double bottom neckline. if this happen things could change a bit.

time will tell

what makes me angry is that the 12 loosing trades are:
7 are for a too tight SL (....) where 2 have been coz went too heavy into the position.
1 is due to my broker
4 are wrong trades/counter trends etc...


conclusion: i must decrease my number of entries and do them better.

Good Day Fellow Traders....

Please find attached three charts. The first chart I posted back on September 23, 2011 - This chart showed a falling wedge pattern (rather step one) in which I was looking for a move out of this wedge and a target of 1.5700. We have now hit 1.5820 - these are futures numbers.

The second chart I am posting has all of the same lines on it as the first one and shows how price developed.....The only new lines are pink ones. You will see how there is a new downtrend line (pink line) that is showing a larger falling wedge pattern with the original white lower trend line. You will see how price has moved up from lower white trend line and has now touched pink trend line.....this move up in price has occurred with decreasing volume. See pink line in volume area showing declining volume on the price increase. We have also seen a 100% fib retracement from the lows on October 6 to the highs on October 14.

Price may continue higher as anything is possible - but technically I am projecting a pull back from current price levels. I am looking for an initial pull back to 1.5662 and if price does not recover up I am looking for price to drop to 1.5566 and if we break below this price we could free fall down to support 1 at 1.5192 and below. There could and should be corrective moves up during my project move down and the lowest targets may never get hit - this is just my analysis of where price could head.

The third chart I am posting is the daily US Dollar Index Futures Chart showing how it relates to Cable. Price has pulled back nicely from it's breakout from yearly and monthly lows. Stochastics are oversold and I read an article this weekend that said US dollar longs have increased again this past week making it 5 weeks in a row that traders are piling into the Greenback.

There is heavy data this week coming from the UK and none of it looks Cable positive. So all in all I feel very strong for a cable pull back and possibly making new lows.

Comments are welcome - I hope this was insightful.

gu seems different than eu or usdx ,going to become more weak! with only preventing breaks 5783 it can up continue towards 5900 or up 6167 ,otherwise not see any hope move up without correction towards 5417 .
or they all going correct at the same time soon ? possible , lets see next week.
anyway if up & continue with any craziness , i will be happy though

IMHO, I think it is too early to short cable... Personally I would like to see some sort of signs (consolidation, shooting star, etc..) in daily first before thinking into shorting this pair.

sorry for delay, its weekend time and im asking myself why im still on charts

what you show is typical at weekend's closings. some brokers get a price, some other get another price. this happen every week and not only on closings..... some times prices go wrong like did CHF some weeks ago bouncing down 70-100 pips then up in few seconds.

i never worry about this thing. since i lost some money once just for this thing, i never let any open trade during weekend!

what you say is not completely out of the way.

from here..
price need to get out of ascending trendlines seen in hourly timeframes.
if it does, can be a good confirmation for a down move to test the daily double bottom's neckline! if im not wrong it is around 5650

i dont have same downward wedge that you drawn in your chart, but i opened a short near 5800 too, only reason coz it can be a good supply area, but i must admit that is a very small lot with a stop loss @6150. its so small that if i go stopped i loose 5 or 10€ . a good R/R for an 'eyes closed trade'

its still not going down, and for the moment price has confirmed above 5780 previous resistance. so this could mean a move into 59area imo, where we shall see more supply coming up.

Be careful it was false break out in GBP/USD and it may return soon as soon as Tuesday to 1.5660-80 level..
