Some Middle Eastern countries still peg their currencies to USD, but that won't help you much.

Wanna bump this pair here. Waiting for the Unemployment numbers coming from the US, maybe we get a discount entry on EURCHF for a seat in the coming SNB Movie called 1.30 Rocket Ride

actually we only need couple more rumors to get there. With increasing inflation in Switzerland, it is going to be harder and harder for them to maintain this level.

My only strategy is to buy. I mean it, I am scalping like crazy on 1m charts whenever there is a dip. So far? 100% success rate, and it will continue till they give up the artificial peg or are not able to maintain it.

shhh, this tactic to make pips is supposed to be a secret.
I do something similar.

Here is the trick: The 1:20 level has been fuc$$king easy to maintain and
barely didn't cost the SNB a thing. Thats the truth. Now, if Euro only get's
a tiny breather to the upside, SNB will get cocky and they announce a higher level to peg. Why not, since the 1.20 was maintained mostly by traders anticipating even further higher pegs......just like you and me

The today announced Bond purchasing Program of the ECB of 40Billion is not much, but will help in the right direction, taking off pressure of equity markets and guarantee liquidity.
100Billion Greek Debt of Dexia Bank? Nobody really cares, help is assured.

1.When doing that, put your position rather soon to breakeven.
No need to trade with too much risk.

2. Do NOT put a profit target on your position, if we get a higher peg,
you do NOT wanna get taken out with 100pips if you can make 300+

I don't have a TP for running trades, they are managed by trade manager with jumping SL when price goes into my direction. Keep getting anything between 0.5 to 70 pips per trade, at least 10 trades a day .

SL? Well if price goes down to 1.19, then it hits my SL. With my current risk, even if this happens (which is highly unlikely given circumstances) I am still in large profit.

And if I take a trade and it goes south for couple days? No problem, it collect interest while other smaller trades filling in between (going south means my 'moving SL' is also getting smaller for following trades.)

Anytime a rumor comes out, I am getting +100 pips trades. If they peg again, I'll be swimming in money.

Only yesterday profit 7% + rebates from this strategy and I am not even over trading at all. It is a good opportunity and everyone should take it. Going short is too risky now, so even though there are chances to make some pips going short, you just never know when another rumor or news release or intervention happen.

I heared on squawk last night 8.00 pm British Time, that the SNB were considering putting up there rates over the weekend, from 1.20 to ?, lets wait and see what happens.

My guess is it was some big/smart money. The direction is clear, but has to be somebody with deep pockets who can sustain a possible down reaction coming from a first NO of Bratislava. When there will be a NO, there will be a
second Vote till it comes through. There is no doubt that it somehow will pass, but not without some compromise for the opposition.

As in all euro pairs, an eventual dip will get a strong buy reaction, that
would be where i put my money on

I think it is all covert intervention by the SNB. But by all means I will go long around 1.2050...

Today we had two important economic data news.

the zew economic expectations improved

september trade surplus was 1.85b chf due to rise in export resulted in chf depreciation against the dollar and euro.

the currency strenghtened agains the euro and broke a 12 day low (1.2288).

the euro failed to maintain the wednesday upper breakout.

the up-trendline lows(9th august and 6th september) was broken 3 days ago and was yesterdays resisstance on the high.

chf is yet still over the 100day simple moving average.

the european debt crisis is going into the decission making phase.

investors could seek safety in the chf currency in case of panic reactions on the euro zone crisis.

the swiss national bank is still a key player in maintaing a weak chf. 1.2 is powerful resistance.

in the case of a strong speculative chf buying the snb could loose their power to keep a weak chf.

a 100-150 pips south move before rumours of an intervention is possible till friday us close. watch 1.2150 support for profit target.


Any comments or more insights are very welcome.
