I have read to exit when the Tdi line goes flat at the next candle. Does that include if you're at a loss??

Im too chicken to get in on the usd pairs. Just dont know whats gonna happen. Someone mentioned news? That could swing it I guess if its big news.
Good news for the usd means all these 3 pairs should reverse and go short, but the signs are in the long direction, although Im not loving where they are...
Also, Im trying to stick to the H4 tf so its different timing a bit..

Damn look at that easy 200 pip on the UJ short if we entered on the red line. Ive been watching it but too scared to pull the trigger.
Now Im thinking - its too late..

Oh damn I used up my attachment space... Anyways take a look at the USDJPY a coupld candles back, just as TDI were touching..

I think that depends on the specific situation. Definitely not if all systems are go and its got room to rise still.

At 23:00 CDT last night I sold the $/S @ .8992 on the D. TF A bit like watching paint dry but I'm now +56 pips. I have moved my SL to .9106 and TP is .8713. A very nice trade so far. Maybe I will change my early-to-bed, early-to-rise habit and stay up for this TF.

Somewhere on this thread an indi was published that moved a SL after so many pips in profit - anyone using it with success? p.

For example,
Im long on the EURGBP with -100 pip but no way Im taking that loss as I expect it to rise. Signs are all strongly positive..

Saw TDI bounce upwards.

 

1. Close to high of the day -> no trade?
2. Strong momentum.
3. Thirty-fourty pips to next hundred level (1.3700).
4. Not sure but candle count for last reversal doesn't apply to bounce trades....?
5. No consolidation.
6. Large candles.
7. High impact news in one hour.
8. TDI in 12-2 angle.

Decided to go for it, even though it's doubtful whether 1.3700 (> high of the day) will be broken.
Stochs are in overbought and pointing down as well.

Thanks for your reply. I just get worried when the TDI line flattens I think should I get out now or wait for it to hit my SL.

Trade went south so I closed it.

An hour ago , there were several telltale signs that should've kept me out of the trade in the first place:

 

1. TDI pointing up, Stochs pointing down.
2. Close to high of the day.
3. Bounce perhaps wasn't a bounce since the red line was pretty far away. Not sure about this one though.

I just shorted this pr on the 1H. The 15M shows 1 1/2 hours of down so maybe I'm late to the game, we'll see.

Do you have green crossing down over red?
High impact USD news right now...

at the moment the market seem very dengerous, when the signal come it's almost the time when market turn, and you never know it'll actually turn or just correction.

It sure did, +12 right now. I closed the $/chf as the lower TFs were reversing and I gave back quite a few pips, closed with +31 which isn't much for the daily but the mkt has been choppy the last few weeks.

I believe the news at 08:30 ET was already priced in, several gurus had it pretty well pegged ahead of time.

At thread "Trade What You See" I wrote a post with my EAs BuyFibo and SellFibo. I rewrite it.

Buy and Sell EAS using Fibonacci levels

SellFibo, and BuyFibo are two Expert Advisors that allow you to open an order to sell or buy respectively. you need to select entry point using some strategy, for example the eelfranz strategy.

In these EAs you need select the points for the Stop Loss (SL) from the open price, you can define a Fibonacci level to Break Even (BE), one Fibonacci level for a first Profit (TP1), and a Fibonacci level for a second Profit (TP2).

Additionally, you can set a closing percents of the order when levels reach BE, TP1 and TP2. When the price reache TP1, you can set the execution of Trailing Stop (TS) as a percentage of the distance between TP1 and TP2. If you want, you can leave a percentage of the order open one it reaches TP2, in which case you must manually close this part of the order when you consider it better.

You can also set the volume of the order corresponds to a fixed lot size or a percentage of calculated risk on the free margin of the account.

The EA starts its execution immediately opening an order, when it reaches the level of BE, play an alert sound, partially close the order in the percentage that you define, and move the SL at the open price. Subsequently, if it reaches TP1, closes the percentage of the order you entered and active TS based on the percentage you entered. Reaching TP2, closes the percentage to be defined. At this point you must manually close the EA.

When starting the execution of the EA, under the tab "Expert" line is displayed with relevant information of the order, ie OpenPrice, stoploss, BreakEven, TakeProfit1 and TakeProfit2. The EAs draw the Fibo object with the levels selected.

The parameters of these EAs are:

MagicNumber
Stoploss (SL points)
FiboBreakEven (Level fibo for BE, eg: 161.8)
BECLosePer (Percentage of the order to close the BE, ie: 50.0)
FiboProfit1 (fibo level for TP1, eg: 261.8)
TP1ClosePer (Percentage of the Order to close at TP1, eg: 30.0)
FiboProfit2 (Level fibo for TP2, eg: 423.6)
TP2ClosePer (Percentage of the Order to close at TP2, eg: 20.0)
Risk (Risk Percentage calculated on the free margin, eg: 1.0)
Lots (Volumen. If 0, then the volume is calculated from the percentage of admitted Risk)
MinLots (Minimum volume to run or 0)
MaxLots (Maximum volume to be executed or 0)
TrailingStop (0 or TrailingStop calculated on TP2 - TP1. TrailingStop brother works TP1 is reached. Pe: 50.0, indicating that corresponds to 50% of TP2-TP1)
FiboColor (Color of the Fibo Object)
FiboStyle (Style of the Fibo Object)
FiboWidth (Width of the Fibo Object)

Watching 14 pairs on h4 and no real promising set ups.
Im waiting for the jpy pairs to reverse so I can look for some long and dont want to touch the swissy pairs at all as they are all ranging with tiny pa ever since that crazy day the SNB announced their intentions...
USD also iffy cos of news.
Better wait. Better safe than sorry.
Got the two longs still running, fingers crossed and trying to be patient as I refuse to even glance at the shorter tfs for the chf/jpy cos on d1 tf it looks perfect..
Out for dinner so will be checking in around 3-4 hours to hopefully see a better picture..

Today the markets had no real direction.
To know the important fibb levels comes in handy with TMS when theres retracements. Know your basic forex knowledge with your trading system to allow you to gain your edge.

Theres red alert news coming up (Fed Chairman Bernanke Speaks) in a few hours which hopefully will allow PA to choose a direction and start moving to allow us to start making pips again.

Attached are two charts...one M15 showing the three trades I took today and a H1 chart showing how the same amount of pips could have been earned on the same movements using the one hour charts. Trades were taken on the cross of the green over red and momentum. Very simple system and it keeps my account increasing every week.

Thanks for posting a link to this calc. I was using one from baby pips that looks very similar but it did not show all the crosses (gold and silver).

Phx62 - Thanks for sharing that. I am impressed 150 pips in one day is very good in my book. I have just come across this system, and have seen both positive and negative results posted, so I am still experimenting.
Do you use stochastic as well, did not see it on your chart screen caps.
Also you said. "Trades were taken on the cross of the green over red and momentum". Are you referring to the momentum seen in the indicator or in the HA Candles, or both?
