You're up 48 pips, so the cross appears to have been legit!
I've downloaded my TDI indicator (for Ninjatrader) from BigMike. It appears the default standard deviation setting was set to 1.62.
The MT4 settings (post #25, file TDI Red Green.mq4) however showed a setting of 1.6185...
I've changed it accordingly, so hopefully when your charts show green crossing red, mine will do too.

Took this trade....always seems to be the case that as soon as I take something on the 1Hr TF the price then moves against me..... should I look at the lower timeframes for entry or just 'trust' it will all come good in the end.

My strategy is to go through this checklist every time. At some point I hope to have memorized it so I'll be able to decide in a split second whether to take the trade or not.

Im looking at the G/Y for short but not happy with it. I know that strictly by the rules it looks valid. I just think its not optimal, and I have the feeling thats the whole difference.
a: I like the Stoch to be peaking, usually over the 68 (or under 32 for long).
b: TDI is not really in a good break upwards, Im looking at it at 3 oclock dead..
I know we are in a downtrend but seems like we may have hit the bottom and that makes it risky for me. Especially since Im not managing my money all that well yet..
I hope it goes short!

I'm trying to follow Eelfranz's advice as much as possible. In the following post he has included a list of things to check before entering a trade:

Im on a hell of a ride on the CHF/JPY on the daily tho. Been down over 1k on it but sticking in there. I know it'll come back up, everything looks perfect. TDI not only angled good, but in a good position.
Stoch same.
And I took this E/G long. Which is up and Im watching it.
Note the orange vert line is where I was thinking about it but conditions werent optimal, so I waited. Red line is where I entered.
