This morning our network techs decided to install the new firewall in what is deemed to be the time when we have the least number of clients online. Unfortunately the upstream provider's own firewall (Harbour MSP) was still recognising the MAC address of the old firewall. The original firewall was then put back in place. Perhaps some of you techies will understand more about that than me!
This morning I was told that the firewall problem will definitely be fixed this weekend. I have that assurance by the Managing Director of the company we use.
I would also like to let you all know that we are in advance stages of negotiating with a new liquidity provider. This will result in better spreads, the ability to remove the minimum stop distance and will also bring a true-ECN option to our clients. There may also be the ability to offer an alternative platform and further instruments for trading.
Once again I apologise for the recent issues, and I take responsibility for those. I can assure you that in the coming weeks and months GO Markets will be making great strides to improve the offer available to you all.
