Seeing some big spreads tonight aswell.

After all it's impossible for us to trade normally until ending a relationship with their IBs.
GO is indeed an "honest" broker

Given the discussion that has taken place recently in this thread and the fact that Chris from GM has stated that major work will be undertaken this coming weekend, it is hard to have sympathy for any trader still complaining about the platform.
Ignored

We don't need your sympathy, but a stable platform.

Now the mess has reached the Real 2 servers as well...

I know major works are happening over the weekend, so this isn't really going to solve anything, but tonight has been the absolute worst i've experienced regarding disconnects - atleast 6 or 7 and they started 1 min prior to frankfurt and then around london open and then right on NY open.

Spreads on GU seem weird tonight too, I've seen it at 3+ and then 0! jittery all the time like you sometimes see just prior to big news.

again Chris, not really intended as a whinge as you have clearly acknowledged the issue, and the current intentions to rectify over the weekend - but thought i'd atleast let you know my experience tonight.

actual executions/changes of orders have been fine though - just the disconnections and freezes have been more frequent.
- Look to the left, Trade to the right - I am the system

Why would you or anyone continue to trade on a platform that has recognised issues that will hopefully be fixed this weekend.
Either trade your alternative fx provider, your futures acct or take the week off .

I realy don't need your "advices".
Don't waste other peoples time with pointless posts

BTW, quote from another forum:

Go Markets are really struggling at the moment. If you call them to talk about the connection problems they will tell you to trade elsewhere.

My favorite broker showing his ugly face? I gonna withdraw most of my trading capital, better safe than sorry..

My 'advices' regarded securing one's capital from unnecessary risks... and in a roundabout sort of way you've worked that out.

"Trade elsewhere!" seems to be their new slogan

Another quote from the same forum:

" They are not very polite!! I have also talked to them about the stopping of the rebates. They just tell you to go elsewhere!! Really, after all these years this is not the way to treat clients!!! "

Is this the Aussie way to handle own problems by kicking ass the customers?
I hope its not.

Hi Guys,

First of all let me apologise to those clients impacted by the server downtime today and furthermore to everyone else impacted by the slowness, freezes and disconnections in the last couple of weeks. I am not going to make excuses or give you all rubbish, but the facts. I and we at GO Markets pride ourselves on honesty and integrity, and regardless of the problems we will admit to and fix them.

There are currently two, entirely different issues.

1 - Firewall - This is impacting on both live servers.

As I mentioned last week, an issue...

Thank you for the clarification Chris. I've been a customer since April 2009 and I seen how the servers performed on a daily basis. Execution is mostly fine, subject to episodic server related issues which are mostly fixed quite quickly. To other traders: dont worry too much about it, GO has always been very responsive. Just trade smaller or not at all for now, it's not going to kill you.
Thank you Crucial Point, Bleek, Trizzle, Darkstar

Well, I have had enough. It was looking up for a bit but with Pepperstone's coming move to NY and these connection issues, I'm moving on. Best of luck to current clients with GO. I still think they're a good broker but I just can't handle the connection issues and I think they should have been fixed a good long while ago.

Cheers
