Hi Traders

These are the 3 final brokers I intend to open live acct with:
- FxPrimus
- GoMarkets
- Alphari UK

If you have the experience with any of the brokers,
I do appreciate your input and comment.
It does not matter pleasant or not.
You will help me to decide.

Thank you for your time.

I started my trading with FXPrimus' Normal Account since November 2009 till May 2010 when I switched over to the ECN Account to take advantage of the tighter spreads.
Am happy with the platform and the services. The fund withdrawals to my Moneybookers account were also prompt and efficient.

Hi keesin

Thank for the input.

Do you experience spike lately using fxprimus?
GoMarkets got a number lately.

Alpari UK gave me re-quotes during news hours.

fxprimus one day (can't recall when) this month was down 2-3 hours.

However I still like their executions.

I demo all above.

I didn't experience noticeable spikes with my ECN account since I don't trade just before and after major news announcements.

Yes, there was indeed a server outage on Friday, July 9th. due to a hardware failure and the automated failover to the backup server unfortunately did not operate as expected.

The President of FXPrimus took the trouble to write to all concerned with the assurances that steps are been taken to prevent a recurrence and the compensation for those that have incurred losses due to the outage.

Thanks, keesin.
That was very nice for the President to "apologize" to his clients.
Now +1 point to fxprimus.

Alpari UK = SL hunting and price manipulation, I have not tested the Alpari Direct Pro (Currenex based).
Gomarketsaus = SL hunting and price manipulation, troubles to get back your money.
Primus = I have not tested them, I know nothing about them.

I dont really want to get involved in this thread as its not a genuine GO markets discussion but I would like you to elaborate on 'troubles to get back your money' are you implying we have done anything dishonourable and not returned your funds? as this is never the case with our company as any client would testify. And being a regulated firm we could not act in this way neither would we want to.
I havent the time or energy to have right to reply on the other 2 negative points you said about our company as it seems every broker is accused of that regardless of what they say or do and I think its lack of understanding that breeds these accusations.
I think your post just needs a little clarity and I apologise if it meant something else.

Cheers

Ummm, why haven't you considered FX Open ECN? They're an MT4 in partnership with Dukascopy.

This is simply not the case as it relates to Go Markets.

Hi Barry

It's "interesting" when I am about to open a live acct...

I have a crash report pop-up on fxprimus just now.
I had seen spikes on gomarkets this month.
I have experienced re-quotes in alphari uk more often than above.

Well... any chance you can recommend one reliable broker?

Thanks.

Yeah Barry what do u think about such crashes? I get them on a daily basis on one of the Alpari demo accounts. BTW i run them through your service. Can it be caused by the EA?

Been trading with GO for a while and very happy. Just opened an account with Alpari as well and they seem fine. Bit confused by the number of account styles and the different spreads on demo, but no cause for complaint. GO are my preferred. Better spreads and maybe because they are local, it is faster.
Never used primus, but anyone offering fixed spreads is a market maker, so wont get my account.

Hi Traders

Thanks for your comments above.

I now left with Gomarkets and Fxprimus.

For GoM, I didn't like the spikes recently. Would this happen again?
For FxP, I am not familiar with the country Mauritius. I prefer 5 digits quotes than 4.

If others wish to offer their comments, pls. do so.

I don't know what caused the GoMarkets spikes. I saw it being discussed in the gomarkets thread. I would point out that at least Go is addressing it and is a regulated & respected broker. Australia has tough regulations.

I don't know much about Fxprimus or the regulations in Mauritius. certainly worth checking out and considering.

sorry for the delay I did not see this thread. You should open a support ticket if you have any issues.

based on what I saw, I would first try downloading and installing a new MT4 terminal from the broker. next take a look at the EA(s) you are using, especially if it has a DLL.

I can only speculate in a public forum w/out seeing your specific VM. You might also check you have enough RAM. support can assist you with a resource evaluation.

Thx. Its all discussed already through support ticket some weeks ago. I followed all instructions. New mt4 installation. Its not a RAM issue and EA doesnt use DLL. It still happens frequently on Alpari Uk, sometimes on GOmarkets and Insta as well. I guess its not on your end..

Yes, this was discussed in the GO thread, so would be better addressed there. Rest assured that anyone caught out on these spikes was fixed up and we have taken some steps with the price feed in an attempt to reduce the possibility of these spikes in future.

For Fxprimus my only complaint is that for ECN, $10USD per lot traded is really too much. That's equivalent to 1 pip, much more than Go Markets ($7) or FxOpen ($7, $4.6 if above 50k deposit). Their 4 digit accounts means rounding up, so are a no-go
