what a nice spike lol. for now it seems like big money is absorbing all the buying after it, but will have to wait for next 1h bar to be down bar to be sure of shorting.

FELLAS quick word of warning... DON'T short EURCHF now... too damn dangerous.. i know EURCHF is testing that 1.2 but SNB literally put a barrier at 1.2 and ready to act if its below... there will be another nasty intervention like today if that gets broken against the SNB's will...

yup, the relationship with eu and other ladies, signs were there, everyone who took advantages, whatever pairs congrates, remember yoda is primed to do the same, as stated today next 48hr will be exciting, big players were waiting for best price, only big players make market move news just accellerates the move, panic sets in it just snow balls, check post 2 weeks ago gator and couple othesr suddenly showed interest in Swissy, I followed, normally not touch. "Swiss National Bank sets minimum exchange rate at CHF 1.20 per euro
The current massive overvaluation of the Swiss franc poses an acute threat to the Swiss economy and carries the risk of a deflationary development.
The Swiss National Bank (SNB) is therefore aiming for a substantial and sustained weakening of the Swiss franc. With immediate effect, it will no longer tolerate a EUR/CHF exchange rate below the minimum rate of CHF 1.20. The SNB will enforce this minimum rate with the utmost determination and is prepared to buy foreign currency in unlimited quantities.
Even at a rate of CHF 1.20 per euro, the Swiss franc is still high and should continue to weaken over time. If the economic outlook and deflationary risks so require, the SNB will take further measures."

Thats like Pure Hawkish statement for a weaker CHF...
kinda warned of this happening back in July....

Thanks Stephan. But look at my charts well, there's no open trade. I post my entries and exit if I had one. Was still ticking my checklist for my strategy to play 100% before I looked up and saw that. These days, I don't take trades that don't pass all my checks. The Bears have really been customising the Euro a lot

roger on the yen... SNB intervention usually gives Yoda the 'balls' to act. Remember the previous yen intervention was 2 days after SNB intervention.

UJ is more or less starting to price that in, it's maintaining above 77.00 even as other non chf USD crosses quickly retracing their spikes...

What I meant is that 1.42 was the gap to close on EU, so shorts are not so bad as an idea

THey do not have enough money to protect the 1.2 peg. Market will check them anyway, this is veeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrryyyyyyyyyyyy high risk/reward ratio situation.
There will be battle on that level and SNB will be defeated.

Not today of course, not tomorrow , not next week but when time comes, when there be an fundamental opportunity, market will attack the 1.2 level.

SNB just do not have that kind of money me thinke.

Myself I grabbed 40 pips btw.
Those that are hurting are not able to face this board at this moment - most likely they came briefly to look what happened and then went completely dazed away, unable to comprehend. This is the risk of trading something of which the government had approved intervention some time ago (same as the Japanese Yen). Small traders can use stops but big traders cannot get out that fast. It ain't helping that many have no overnight stops.... Cruel and nasty business at times.

I was sitting on the sideline since I did not trust the artificial down move in the Euro-USD.
With due respect to all (who might have a different viewpoint).

By the way when you say Market.... big banks are the Market... and SNB is one of them... dont be surprised when i tell you SNB works with other banks to push for the peg on EURCHF at 1.2... that'll leave retail traders like us in a pickle dick if you try shorting it thinking its on SNB working alone....

i would like to say the Swiss has enough to discourage any shorting EURCHF below 1.1...
1.2 may be broken but swiss will intervene again when they find a bottoming occur... and it will be another strike... but 1.2 will not break today.... people shorting it now would be like... SNB i shit to your face, in matters of hours SNB burns those muppets...

i know fundies and i can tell you that hawkish statement suggests further intervention... they got other POLITICAL intervention they could use to prevent from a potential ineffectiveness using Money Dumpage by buying other currencies...
trust me when they say they are ready to battle... they are... CHF to be pegged known matter, now 1.2 suggests they want it pegged to that rate... i dont think thats gona change now... and if Swiss economy worse than feared... they might even say Peg to 1.3... be careful is all i got to say... the SNB aint pussies...
