yea well doesnt look like China is in to that stuff... they are already in alot of trouble on their side... did you know Hong Kong, Taiwan and China PMI has fallen drastically in August... Suggesting Manufactured Goods in Asia is in contraction... means people are buying less.. means less money available... i think China is better or wiser spending money to fix this than to dump money betting agains the ECB and SNB today for shits and giggles when they got more serious stuff to watch out...

Well, maybe not China. But there's serious money to be made considering what these CBs behind the peg have on the line. I can't even imagine how much money must've been pumped in for a move like that. For all we know they could've dumped their entire coffers and put out the statement hoping that everyone will ride the wave rather than take them on.

I do not use SL, instead use commands Stop, Sell / Buy,
and before this kind of movement, sometimes I can take advantage
of course not be confused with lock, I just do it with an order

Actually buddy we are still in a sort of summer market with only Some big boys coming back... market liquidity is still thin so i can tell you already the SNB didnt dump 10% of their holdings to move the market that much...
thats why it shot up SO much... if it was october... maybe what they dumped would only move EURCHf by 200 pips or so... but you got to think about the liquidity in the market being thin as we are still in holidays...
i suspect liquidity will start to thicken probably 2nd or 3rd week of september...

I was wondering, for those who were short EURUSD at the spike, were your SLs respected? I wasn't in front of the computer, but my live IBFX account shows they shut down @ 07:55 GMT and didn't reopen til 08:13. Did the same happen with other brokers?

Not sure how they would even have filled those stops because the bids/offers were way above it. This could cause some serious losses for the brokers. Thankfully Oanda enforces a 1:50 leverage rule. Those with 400:1 could be in trouble.

Yes bro these viagra bars upset everything, however, we know what produced this bar is important to note when charting how these rogue bars created, they can distort tl s&r etc, go larger tf the picture is always clearer, I gaurantee the spike respected your levels 4hr daily, check and you will see, they only disrespect levels smaller timeframes, for short time, dust settles, and techs take back over, this nothing more than manipulation at is worst, but if you can get it right, very rewarding, have shit fight with broker tomorrow, 2 longs closed, pa not even close, has happen before, slag session on phone they sort.
Trying to find safe haven, big money has moved somewhere, we trying to track?? nothing yet, up to metals, certainly wasnt gold,

Stay safe bro

Well.. on the daily chart the EUR/CHF did gave us an inside bar in confluence with the 50% fibo retracement..
And so did it on the other pairs..
To bad I was short.. with 0,07€ pip value.. but hey it scared me when I saw being €70 negative (thus -1000 pips) in 3 min.

Well in the end, daily chart trading is still best I guess even for these kind of moves you are covered..

Look at EURCHF boucing back up already after touching 1.20 fucking predictable....
i love being fundie trader...
this would definitely put a dent to people heart thinking CHF is still a good option as a safe haven...
but the fact is none other than gold is the best safe haven...
ill tell you right now gold will go up to 2000 in october...

Looking at 1,413x if 1,416x gives away....
But the ultimate bull target is 1,433x for me which is the weekly breakout

I might reload around 1,416x or 1,413x depending on PA

Sorry for the off-topic, but

* If EC stops at 1.2, this is a safe zone to sell right?

* Can SNB really hold EC at 1.2 forever? I mean, how long they can keep buying?

* If SNB buys Euro with Fra to level EC, then I guess Euro price will go up against other currencies? Due to the demand?

On Topic ... What is the next resistance for EU? Pretty good support at 42 thats for sure. May be 435? 45 ?

Thanks guys .. Happy pipping

At this point i can't see that high...1,433x is my key area...if i'm happy with what i see i'll short for 1,3980 and 1,3800.

I'm playing smaller lot with larger SL today....with SNB action market is excited today.
Taking some profit as we go down...1,413x seems low

which is why this desperation may end up in MORE easing... by the SNB... watch out... the Swissy is OVERVALUED and easing is not a stupid idea...
the US on the other hand is Depreciating in Value and they are still looking for more Easing... now thats retarded... but who knows... maybe one day the Dollar would reaching a point where people think its worth buying and refuel the US economy to production but im guessing its not gona happen...
Jobs are all moving away from US to other expanding countries like the BRICs..
