Agreed. As the metaphor goes... a big ship turning takes time. If after many months it doesn't go as planned, then you will see them try other things. Since they are not doing anything else right now, everything must be going as planned.
check the weekly/monthly, i think i'm right in saying that this trend is about 14 years in the making..

G7 coordinated intervention was after the earthquake intervention and in March, stock markets and macro numbers were a lot better. Now, US, UK and EZ to lesser extend are desperate to devalue their currencies to artificially pump the economy while the poor Swiss and Japanese (they can't do shit) are screw with their over valued currencies and the risk and panic in stock markets.

Gold sitting a couple of ticks below 1799, USD/CHF a few ticks below last break out point 0.799x and Yen @ 76.5x a few...
i guess BOJ have also fired a warning salvo, which may provide sufficient liquidity from other large players to cushion any sharp sell off in dollar vs yen.. interesting and historic times in the global economy, i mean jeeze, gold spiking above $1800, who would've thunk?..

Guess short is the way until about 14, when it will be long (or rather out) for the news then from there we have a direction for today and possibly tommorow... Still there are no real reasons why stocks should go up, economy sucks.

yeah all good, totally reworking my methodology and routine, getting more serious, but need to start getting more disciplined with risk exposure and with stuff like maintaining a journal, if you believe the stats and only 95% make it, then you gotta be exceptional to get into the top 5%..

Now i'd like to see a new low this hour to confort me with this short..it really needs to clear the 1.4370-90 area to expect further move down

If we clear it, possible bounces off 1.435x and 1.432x but i won't play the bounces...i will see if there'll be a possibilty to add higher after bouncing off these areas.

I might be totally wrong though so i'm just waiting til we get there
It is just what i'd like to see....but like everyone says "trade your chart, not what you expect"

Gold went nuts over the last year. I remember thinking the guys that were pushing gold were persistent when it was in the $1300's and $1400's. If the pace continues we will be at $2000 before the end of the year.

Oh definitively in 20 or 30 years the recession of 2000/10s will surely by a chapter of the Economy 101 and Monetary policy books.

Gold is a beast in itself and is always the leader in crisis since the end of the silver standard over 2 centuries ago (and thats not to go back to ancient history). Btw gold breached 1800 again a few minutes ago and it will sit above until reports flirting for a new break...

well up 160 bucks last week, we could be there by the end of the month, but methinks realistically the trend needs a bit of a breather, recent bars could be technically interpreted as an exhaustion move, let's see..

markets are very news sensitive atm, but i think they'll start to get numb to the most recent round of doom and gloom speculation, let's see..
