Hello Sonic, thank you for what I think is a great system. I am a relative newbie and do not understand everything. I have a few questions I hope you can answer. or if anyone can answer and clarify some things I would appreciate it. First of all what is the bias and how do you determine it. Second, when I first found your system it used indicators that are not being used on the thread, NVO, CCI, ZZ fractal, etc. Have you changed from this original and can you direct me to post or instructions for its current use? Also, are there any instructions for how to use this system anywhere other than the ones on the first pages as some of this is a bit confusing to me. Also, can this system be used successfully in higher time frames as the optimal times for trading are during middle of night where I am. Thanks in advance for your help and for this great system. MSN

With the recent help I got from nando_rich I did some H4 analysis and then applying some useful posts by DD, who has been real helpful as well I tried and make a trading plan for AU...

It may help as an exercise, for any noobs to follow by doing your own exercises (do not follow mine) and enriched by the comments of our experienced traders...

On your chart it says Rg H and Rg L. What does this mean? And how did you arrive at the figure 1.067?

Itīs part of Tahīs templates from 16/7 and means range low/high for the day. They ajust as price moves along...

It is more than helpful, thanks hansma... I see that selling on that level 1.067x I planned would've been selling straight into the support....

What I don't have that clear yet is how will the wave form for a short setup when PA reaches that ressistance level you mark to look for short setups... I guess this will come from experience and time looking at PA...

I will follow the development of this pair closely and maybe I could post something further on this.... thanks a lot for your help mate!!

Foxybunny,....WOW! You sure put a lot of thought, caring and work into that post. And I appreciate every word of it. I must read and reread it to digest well all the points made. I want to make a response now, however, to show I have noticed the post, and to expound on a couple of things.

1. My saying that the trade is with the trend and that I felt secure in that, was just another way of saying "the trend is your friend", which is true since far more often than not PA resumes the trend. Trend resumptions are far more frequent than trend reversals.

2. My experiement started the third week of November 2010 and I gave it a year. However, I see the danger in having let that experiment develop habits that will not serve me well overall, which is one reason I have decided to cease further such trades, and give the alloted time for running trades to work out however they might. Also, an unexpected complication is the multiple accounts nececessary to the method, some for just longs and some for just shorts. I heard of a trader that opens an account for each trade, so no matter how that trade goes, it has no effect on any other trade. I don't want to have to go to that extreme, though with the experiment it sometimes seems the best way to go. And too, I come to find I do not like waiting so long for results, nor the inefficient use of the time value of funds.

So, I am focusing now on pure Sonic R. I am absolutely sure the results of the experiment are going to be exceedingly good, but with the exceptions I noted regarding waiting, multiple accounts required, and the time value of money. By the time the experiment ends, I should be well on the Sonic R. road, and in a better position to look at both in an "overall" way.

As I said, there is much in your post for me to digest, and these few remarks only respond to a small part. Thank you for your attentiveness, foxybunny.

Now this is not the best setup in fact itīs messy - just look at it as an example. Look at these areas and see if they hold like in your example for the up move break out and retest - then look for the waves. Itīs all about reaction around these 4 hour areas. Hope this helps.

Sonic, TAH is fine, and thanks for the thought. Figure Friday will be the big day, and maybe not to trade again until next week, aside from any opportunities to close existing trades twix now and then. Meanwhile, using some of the time to work on some things I have wanted to get to.

BTW, as you are now aware, SL management has become my foremost concern. So if you can, going forward with your great trade examples, please continue to chart clearly your EP, TPs and SLs.

Here's one I'm looking at to demo. I know it's late.

4H shows strong down trend - I've marked 3 key levers of s/r as I see them.

15M has formed H -L - LH with the LH at the Daily pivot. The L broke the dragon. If a candle closes below the lower S/R with dragon angled down I will sell at area marked with S/L and TP1 and TP2 marked.

DT is so strong - I won't consider a CT trade.

As always critique of my thought process greatly appreciated.

I looked at this one but was concerned about the 4H potential resistance area. Looks like you had a nice hard break. I'll be interested to watch this one play out.

Anthar, maybe this will also help.....

1. You can see how historically the PA ranged in the vacinity of the three S&R areas boxed on the H4 chart. So, when PA again fell to this area, one would expect something other than a pass thru or an immediate bounce of any significance. The area is like a quagmire of sludge that entraps PA for awhile.

2. Also, this week has been dominated by the waiting for the outcome of the US debt ceiling issue. Once resolved, instead of getting immediate and continuing USD strength across the board, the Market made some concessions to the USD and then "quickly rushed" to continue to wait for the end of week USD high impact NFP release. In other words, the Market has been so entrenched in USD weakness, the dollar is going to have to bite the Market in the ass to get it to respond otherwise. So, with more indecision, we are back to ranging.
