Leeon,

Your screenshot is for a Demo account. We do updates to Demo account from time to time that can disrupt orders. We did one last week, which was after your trade was entered but before it hit your T/P.

As someone else said, “Demo is demo.”
Ignored
This issue just happened to me. At about 5:00 or so I lost data so my T/P was not hit
and when it came back I was -20 pips.

Will this happen on the live account?

I've narrowed down to two brokers. I would like to go with MB Trading but this is
unacceptable on a live account.

Does MB Trading have a commission in addition to the spread?

All I can get is "Off Quotes" no matter if it is a market order or limit order. What gives?

Vbmark,

As our website states, FX trading is down at 5 pm EST daily for global bank settlement and rollover (no banks trade during this window). However, the demo environment always is down longer than Live for a variety of reasons each day at that time.

Rubberband,

I see from your screenshot that you are referencing a Demo account. Was this account just created today? As our website states, Demo accounts are not active until after the next 5 pm EST rollover after you create them (part of what Demo does after rollover that Live does not from my last post).

On the other hand, if this Demo was not created today but you are receiving that error, please contact our 24 hour MT4 support via online chat on the Contact page of the site and ask them to see if something went wrong in the creation of the Demo account that led to the error.

Ok, I have a question. Why the hell Desktop Pro charting is so... irresponsive, and why so often? Just few mins ago (05:11 EDT) it took 3 mins to load (download?) and show EUR/GBP charts (4 different TF charts open). What is the problem?

I mean, should I rely only on Desktop Pro - I am screwed! That's why I have to use Metatrader for charting, however I don't like it that way, because DTPro has some nice trading related features.

So, the question again: why is that happen, are you aware of this and is it only me?

Edit: Oh, another issue.. Is MBTrading.com hosted at some secret, far-in-the-desert place? Or maybe you need a brand new Web Server and Backend Hardware and software, not to mention a decent Internet Service Provider Sometimes I got NO answer from your server for minutes... Just like now (05:23 EDT).

Guys, do something to improve your support and services!

Now that's weird and scary and I really need some answers from MB here (I am going to open tickets as well of course).

1. Web Panel, MB Trading Android and Desktop Pro reporting different Cost Basis (Web and Android WRONG, Desktop Pro CORRECT)

Live:
13 Jul 10:59AM: LONG 1000 USD/[email protected] Using MB Trading for Android
14 Jul 04:01AM: LONG 1000 USD/[email protected] Using MB Trading for Android

Positions Reports:
Web and Android : +2000 @ 0.40811 (?? wrong)
Desktop Pro: +2000 @ 0.819605 (correct)

2. Desktop Pro reports CORRECT position cost (0.819605), but the Position Line on chart is at the WRONGLY calculated value above (0.40811)

3. Web Based Reports: Download Order History - The excel file is EMPTY. Did not check other downloadable reports. Absolutely Unacceptable!! Amazing!! I can't have my own orders archive?!

4. Again Web based Orders History: trying to SORT by any column returns... empty report ?!

Additionaly, there are tons of little (really little but annoying) bugs and misfunctioning in Android, Web and Desktop Pro.

I don't know. It could be Android. It could be because of the rollover. I don't know, but my Android and Web reports WRONGLY calculated positions and I can't see the Position line on my Desktop Pro chart. This is bad.

Feel free to PM me for more details.

Edit: Would be nice if it is possible in "Orderbook" to view orders from previous days, not only today's one.

I have the same issue. It takes frigging forever to load chart when shifting from one pair to another. It is downright irritating for a swing trader. A scalper/intra day trader WILL get screwed over this.

Live with MB Trading.
I scalp 1 min charts, trades from seconds to 4-6 minutes in length.
If you are a manual trader and are using MT4, then you are doing it wrong.

Learn how to use the Dekstop Pro software.

To the above poster,
learn how to configure your charts the way you want them.

If you are running EAs then I guess you are stuck with MT4 and it's
'god-awfulness'... like the rest of the world.
(NinjaTrader scripts are an option which are usuable at MBT, but NT is not free.)

If you don't like Desktop Pro's charting then use FREE Multicharts
for charting and Desktop Pro for account information.

It has been mentioned many times, Desktop Pro is KING for speed and accuracy
concerning account information, order status, etc.

Quit bashing MB Trading, their MT4 'bridge' has issues,
so does Oanda's, so does everyone elses (and the others rip you off big-time).

What they have done this year is absolutely revolutionary,
they have an ECN platform available to the small trader AND the 'Pay for Limits' program.

If you don't like them, then go somewhere else.
I'm not really interested in any competition for my fills anyway.

edited:
I apologize, I don't want to sound like a complete ass, but...
for the short-term trader I think the opportunities are very good.
For the MT4 user (if you must), you still have access to a very good spread,
and possible payments for limit order execution.

Pardon me, but I can't understand what and who are you talking about?

In my post(s), I am pointing at issues: (1) position cost differences (!?!?!) reported by diferent platforms (Web, DTPro, Android); (2) Charts NOT loading or loading like forever (3) more... cba to repeat.

What MT4 has anything to do here? Why using "one more software" (multicharts) to chart when DTPro charts should be enough. Besides, I really like to see my position ON chart! That really helps.

I already said in one of my post: I like the account management and ordering system of MBT (one of the best I've seen in its class) and that's why I moved my funds there. However, there are problems and they must (I think) be solved by MBT.

edit: Forgot to mention that DTPro is very good for MM, I tried lot of platforms, but this is the best to me. Maybe Dukascopy is close too but I like MBT DTPro more.

I really don't understand. And yes, you really sound a bit like a complete * :-)

Oh, and did you see the picture I posted? Daily charts (only) showing double candles etc. (?) It's a "software crime" if it's a bug, isn't it? A charting software that draws... buggy charts ?!?!

I am a live trader and yes.. that happened to me once. I restarted the software and it was alright again. weird.

I noticed that when the charts load quickly, on the bottom left you can see "History server: Hist101" and when the charts refuse the load its "History server: ".. so maybe the problem is with their data server.

I do believe desktop pro is a really powerful piece of software aside from its small irritating quirks. Hopefully the next release will fix some of the bugs.

Their data sucks and their platform sucks. Go back and look at the issues I had with their data and only when enough people complained (I obviously didn't constitute enough) did they fix it, TWO months later, and if you're going to use a different charting package with their API you are heading into a daily hell.

While having data issues the best I heard from them was (Chris Field was the rep) that no one was running version 11.5.0.5 (The NinjaTrader version) on any of their pc's so they were unable to replicate the issue, not particularly interested or their problem because it's a third party app, and basically I would just have to sort it out myself or use their crappy charts.

My advice to you would be to move on.

Yeah, it's almost official - their charts just DO NOT LOAD (few hours for now; still trying to check if there is some problem on my side, but nope, they just refuse to load). It's the data feed problem (histoy server). Milticharts and Ninja confirms the data feed problem (no load).

On your advice: I'll stay few more days and move on if nothing gets better. Strangely enough, everything was ok just before I funded my account :-) lol

But where to move on? I want it ECN. Any suggestions?

Plamen

Been trading Live with them for over three years.

Any questions?

About the guy from MBT being "so quite" ...what in the hell are you talking about?

Justin is on here all the time answering questions. Your veiled accusation that he is being "so quite" is blatantly false and you owe him an apology.

Your charts do not load? Check your computer or switch over to broadband.

Sorry, been with them for over three years. No complaints.

Like an earlier poster stated, maybe it is time to move on. If you have any questions please ask me. Been with them for over three years and their service, execution, support has been great.

Charts not loading?

There data is just fine.

It does take some time to get used to their platform. I hated it at first. But now I love it. It takes a bit of intelligence to figure it out so maybe the the problem is you.

Sorry, I am not going to let people talk shit about the best broker around.

Been with them for too long now with no problems to let it slide.

Short answer: Lol

Long answer:
Decent hardware, 2 different Broadband lines (some 50 MBits/sec each), etc.

I am 48 years old man, not a ranting teenager! If I say "chart does not load" then beleive me, I checked out everything on my side first and then file a complain. I did pings, traceroutes, Windows Event Log checking, all my other Live accounts and platforms status (@ FCMX, Saxobank, plus few more demos), cache clean, computer restarts, connecting to MB Data feed through Multicharts DT, Ninja Trader, etc, etc. You want more ? Name it! I did it. So don't tell me I am some "oh daddy my computer sucks but it is their fault"!

Huh.. Sorry to sound a bit harsh, but I am trying to start my MB "Trading" trading" day for few hours already with no success (FXCM and Saxobank is ok, hmm... I wonder why? Suggestion?).

Note please, I think their server is somewhere on west coast. It is a midnight there.. I don't know... Maybe they had some hardware maintenance today...

Besides, you say you are live with them. Ok, can you download your ORDER HISTORY in Excel file wich is NOT empty?

Dashboard > Forex > Account > Order History > Download

Check it out.

Do you know they answered my ticket that the Website is actually... in BETA stage (?!?!) And that their MB Trading for Android is in .... BETA too? (Check android market and find the BETA note... no, you won't see ANY BETA flag there).

You are three years with them and you have no problems? I am for one week and found tons of bugs?

Btw, looks like they are feeding their hamsters right now.. charts finally started to load.. still sloooooow.... but loading... Funny...

This is one of my longests post I posted since I read forums, ever. I am a bit angry. Answer like "you have problems, but I do not, hence check your computer and internet connection" is an answer from last century or... just biassed... ?

Anyway... have a nice day and weekend :-)

Regards,
Plamen

It's not a rocket science to get used with a platform Check my earlier posts: pltaform is one of the best for proper money management I ever seen, just very balanced and suits me very well because I don't trade with tons of indicators... I trade completely naked.. That's why I really LIKE THE PLATFORM.

You are missing the point. Datafeed is where they might have problems!

By the way, while charts are struggling to load, marketh depth, watch list, the quote board and orders are working perfectly from Desktop Pro.

What amazed me was why I have a wrongly calculated average position cost (created from MBT Android)? That was the starting point after which I checked all their website and desktop pro functionality in a more complex manner: opening position from Android, checking history from website, opening more than one chart window with Symbol/Interval bar having 6-7 timeframe tabs, etc etc.

You see, I am talking about facts and possible problems and this way I am *HELPING* MB Trading to spot bugs & unwanted features :-)

Aaaa.. enough...
