I do believe, however, you should clarify. For example, explain what you mean when you refer to "testing supply". I mean, what ACTUALLY is going on....real world MOTIVES for the price being brought there, and what EXACTLY is being LOOKED FOR once the price arrives there? I hope you understand my reason for asking you to explain. "Testing" can mean about anything, and all of which is meaningless if we don't know what REACTION follows, based on what RESULTS are found in the "test"!

I believe your time spent explaining what "testing" means, what significance it has, what the results could be, and what market reactions are most likely to follow which results....would be greatly appreciated. And the material would be of exceptional interest and value to all of us. Ok?

Testing supply means a revisist of price to an area where there has been
some "debate" or fight over price between buyers and sellers. You could also call it a resistance area - often it is caracterized as an area where price quickly leaves - now marked as 1 on the chart.

For a demand zone - itīs the opposite.

The significance of the "retest" is to see if there are still any buyers or sellers left in that area, and to take out weak retail for creating liqidity. How many times have entered the market, just to find that it turns on you after 3-5 pips, hits your stop and then goes in your predicted direction ??.

What you should look for in these s/r areas after the pullback - are signals that price will continue itīs direction or it changes direction, like bullish or bearish patterns. Marked as 2 in the chart -now entry point short atleast for me.

And one final note --- you will know when you have found the "REAL" s/r area. Your broker will increase his spreads, he does not want you in where the big boys are doing their trading ie take profit or reversing - he wants to fuck you the retail trader, all the way in between those s/r areas with his low spreads

To sum it up - it is simply a question of whether resistance holds or turns in to support or vice versa

I have uploaded another chart eur/gbp, as another example.

I didn't log in for a long time because I did not want to be influenced by all the day trading while I was working on adapting SonicR to position trading.

I missed you guys too - I feel like I have been in a strange land for a long time and I am now finally home.

Have you ever tried adding a MACD to your chart, setting the fast ema to 34, i.e. the Sonic Dragon, and the slow ema to 89? This should graphically display the momentum relationship you are looking at, and it might help to spot divergences.

Just a thought ...

yess some times ago - i was playing with this setup.

I see the continuation in pa faster as in macd 34-89 sloping. that was the reason, why I was found this setup not usefull.

Iīm looking for divergance in faster waves, so it makes no sense for me to looking in slower waves for divergance.

furthermore, for me is the ema89 nice to looking for reversals. (looking between the maīs) just my thinking not more - donīt forget - itīs me ...

I am sorry for that question that might be stupid but it's important to me:
The trading hours for Sonic R. are (EST - Eastern Standard Time) 1AM-4AM (London Session) - what exactly is the time difference now, during summer time and what is it during winter time? I live in Bulgaria and the time difference b/n UK and here is 2 hours (during summer and winter as well) having in mind the DST applies for both countries.

According to my calculations I should be trading from 8AM-11AM (London Session) my local time and 2PM-6PM (New York Session) my local time again.

Thank you for the attention and apologies for that probably stupid question.

You can go to Post#1 and download the latest TAH template and indicators, which includes a SonicR Clock Panel. Just turn it on. It will show you exactly when the London session starts and ends. Same for NY session and for others, too. The clock automatically adjusts for DST, so you never have to mess with it.
