DislikedReally pissed. Got scared and took my losses on this one. I entered on the 3rd retest of the L-MLH (green line), and closed my position right before we exploded upward (red line). Damn.

DislikedGBP/USD trade I'm in. Got it on the re-test. Notice the railroad tracks (not trading it as such, however). (Got stopped out on my GBP/CHF, price spiked too far below the lower median line.)Ignored
DislikedHi Xhale12,
Oh no!!!
Don't know exactly when you closed, but one tell was in that candle with the long shadow...see blue line. The Big Boys just hit the stops and ran. Try to keep an eye for that kind of PA.

DislikedYea I know. Unfortunately I got scared and bailed as that candle was forming, before it came back up... I should have waited for it to complete.Ignored
DislikedThat's how they get us sometimes...through our emotional equity account. Fear most times, if not, greed...and if not, the hoping that price would come back mental state etc. etc. At least you are aware of what happened so you can stay on top of it.
A new week begins soon....start afresh in your mind.

DislikedThough there is some support, if price breaks it, we might be looking at a clear fall toward the lower support level (i.e. filling in the mountain).Ignored
DislikedThat's right!!! I have seen price fill in those mountains like clockwork. A cathedral could be next.

DislikedHad to break a rule to keep in the trade, but I'm still holding on! (Some rules are meant to be broken - and some not! )Ignored
DislikedHi all, I am curious as to what different people have found successful regarding trade management. I have toyed around with a few ideas, most recently with the idea that once price goes 2x risk I move to breakeven, then at 3x risk I move my stops to 1.5x risk, and after that I use pure market structure until my profit target (unless my target was 3xrisk, as well, I will use m.s. if it appears earlier).
But I have had some positive and negative experiences with that, and have thought about taking 1/2 off at 3xrisk and leaving the rest at breakeven...Ignored
DislikedI shall watch the replies with interest - I've tried a number of things without being entirely happy - these days I'm trying to use market structure for stops - I'm still very much a baby beginner and I think looking at market structure is good for me.Ignored

DislikedCan you link us to a post that describes this in more detail. Reading 200 pages is not going to happen any time soon lol.
Or perhaps throw up a chart showing an example of how you use this technique?Ignored
