I can't seem to get my setup to take any trades. It's been 3 days. I am running master ea19 and maxx 213 on every pair available and nothing. Does anyone know how to get this thing going?

It's pretty messy in his thread. He's sort of combined V5 with V6.1 and now 6.2. So its a hybrid of everything. Even I don't fully understand how it works which means it will be nearly impossible to code unless you can understand it.

He has a zip file on there. Also check page 217 where he starts 6.1 if you can. I'm going to reread it again and post my understanding and hopefully we can all compare and discuss what should be implemented.

I have had the EA working now for 51 days, always upgrading to the latest version. Until a couple of weeks ago it had behaved as expected. Closing down all trades at certain points to protect equity.

However since the latest update to Master_23 and EA 213 in some cases it is behaving irrationally and taking lots of trades and single pairs.

One demo I have is running on 20 pairs. Most of the time it is behaving well and has increased the balance from a start of £5000 to the current £7778. Sounds fantastic, however the current DD is -£3302, about 43% (all demo by the way). So it is -ve equity. This DD has doubled today so it has been hovering around the 20% mark for a while.

The crazy thing is the number of trades it can take. e.g. right now 12 GJ and 11 EJ) See the attachment to get an idea of the number of trades.

I have not attempted to change any of the default setting apart from lot size and disabling the automatic lot calculation.

From monitoring the profit per pair I have seen a big difference in the profitability of some pairs, so I have started another demo in parallel trading only the 6 most profitable pairs (CADJPY, EURAUD, EURUSD, GPBUSD, USDJP). There is no science there apart for profitability. This has been running since middle of last week is now up 3% with no DD due to a close all this morning.

Anyway all I am saying to people is do not trade live unless you have demoed it for a good while and keep it to a minimum of pairs.

I am leaving the first demo untouched until it either recovered or crashes (more likely)

You are right. Keep the 2 demos and we will see what is best.

Last week was fatal for my maxx_v213/master EA_024 combo. After running two weeks and more than 30% in profit 10k account (demo) got wiped out in 3 days. Running on 23 pairs OOB with 0.1 lots. Has anyone else experience bad week for max's bot last week?

Same here. Not wiped out but nearly 50% DD. The problem is taking way too many positions on the same pair for no apparent reason. I even tried it on a limited number of pairs. Initially it behaves really well then it starts to get itself into trouble and once it over trades you know it is going to get much worse.

@ MAX - how did you come up with your ReEntryLinePips values for the pairs? Did you just use a Daily ATR? how many Days and Period? Thanks

Is anyone still using this V5 robot or is everyone just switching over to the V6 robot.

I was using the version which was used by Arbinka, on Max`s advice I stopped using that since he mentioned there were bugs in it. I did not get a chance to use the updated version. It would be useful to hear from anyone who is using this BOT, be it successfully or not.

I am still using Steve`s original version but since it trades very slowly, I am going to stop using it. The reason being that on average it does one trade a month. Although it has made a profit of around 1000 pips since October I may be out of pocket due to the swap charges.

I did test out Max v213 for 2 weeks. Didn't really see any glitches but 2 weeks is hardly enough actual testing time. It was very profitable though for the 2 weeks. DD was sort of managed and minimized while still locking in pips. I stopped using it b/c Max has been too busy or MIA to update and add revisions.

Thanks very much my friend. Makes me wonder, if we did the sensible thing by stopping the usage. As for MAx going MIA as you know we are all working people so may be his work commitments is taking too much of his time. I am seriously considering resuming the live trades and just keep an eye on the DD / trades. It is a monster of an EA and it is a shame not to use it (in particular if it is profitable).

Yeah true on working takign up lots of your free time. I really hope Max gets a chance and comes back into this thread. Been reading back a few pages and seems like there is mulitple trades issue. Maybe a max trades allowed function would fix this in addition to the sleep function?

I actually prefer this version to the original beast (gasp I know). I just like the 4hr time frame trading better. The beast is an amaing thing but i feel like the 1h tf is not strong enough of a trend reversal indicator as about 25% of my trades on it go into recovery. I remember I was using steve's v5 bot for a month and a half and it locked in 1500 pips in that time until a bad week of DD's and overleverage wiped out the demo. That was what led Max to develop his master EA to help minimize DD.

Well I have decided to start using Max ea and see how it goes. I will demo it a bit before I go live of course just to get used to it and see how it works.

I am reading through the thread and by what I can see you use Max ea on the pairs you are trading then the master ea to close the trades, right?

I will keep reading to see how best I understand it, I have heard wonderful things about it so excited to try it out.

I will do a few demos since I have heard that v150 was the best so I will use that version on one demo and then the latest one he did version v213.

I will also be using the latest master ea unless I read something for another version which was better.

As always the latest is not always the best version lol

Glad someone else is going to demo it again. Looking forward to hearing back from your results. I am thinking of starting it on demo again also.

Not sure how much the master EA changed. It jumped from version019 to 023 and now its up to 024. Not sure how much was changed or improved between those version.

Lastly, looking at his attached chart pictures it seems Max trades on the 1h charts. I could of swore this was designed to be traded on the 4h originally. Someone want to help clear up my confusion?

Thanks for the link I will go ahead and give those a try, I also thought it was meant for the 4h charts but apparently he is using the 1h by that picture. So I will go ahead and see how well it works in the 1h and go from there. Ill set it all up and create a myfxbook for this demo hopefully by tonight.

Ok, this is really frustrating me, if I have a Buy trade open and its gone in Debt past ReEntry Line, what in the code is stopping a Sell order getting placed eventhough Sell conditions are met ????

Please anyone, help.

If anyone has done a backtest and there has been a recovery trade in the opposite type as the one it's recoverying, please let me know. Then the above isn't happening anyway and I'm just waisting my time trying to figure this out for the last two weeks.

Well if you have a long order already going unless your broker allows hedging you will not be able to put a sell order on the same pair.

IDK if I misunderstood your question?

My Broker does allow Hedging, I think there is somthing stoping another order of different type if one already open. I think this is only a question for Steve, as I'm pretty sure it's an EA code thing.
