. Thanks for sharing your Perfect Day with us.Had a hectic week and night...been tending to a family member since they had an accident on Tuesday. Just couldn't find the time to focus on trading. Made an attempt early this morning, not wanting the week to end without a trade. Did not wait for my edge to fully form expecting to be called away again...took a hit of a few pips. When I returned saw the blast off....missed it. Oh well, just can't predict what will happen. At times like these family comes first.

In case you were wondering....I tend to leave older forks up so that new fork traders or those seeing it in action for the first time can observe how price responds to the lines over time. May have a clearer view on Monday .
Also, the weekly chart wrap-ups of the 10 pairs I follow will be on the blog today...usually by 8pm EST.

Thanks. Glad you appreciate the effort. I think your pursuit of the Pitchfork to include it in your trading would be a very worthwhile goal. Here I have tried to help new traders to see the reliability of the fork, give some basics on how to draw it and as well as to show some of the fundamental and related concepts that can be applied to trading. There are many more. Post 1072 gives access to a video of Live Analysis I did in December http://www.forexfactory.com/showthre...242133&page=72. You can also follow them up to see how the pairs that were analyzed played out. That should also help lots. Tim Morge has much that he can add because of his vast knowledge and experience. I try to help new traders (and other traders as well) get a solid foundation, otherwise, more advanced Pitchfork concepts can be overwhelming, and even misapplied.

fun in the middle east,i would like to be long oil,however looking at the daily chart i would need a stop of 986 pips,However if they start to riot in Saudi i may well be riding a bike to work,at times like this i just want to jump in with a buy,however whenever i have done this in the past my stop is always hit,saying that

my daily target is 50 pips,i opened a may contract with a gtd stop,
the eur/usd was quite as usa was on holiday,i will look at gold tomorrow

Please take this as constructive criticism, I think you really need to study and master the forks before attempting to give others insight. To draw forks from three alternative pivots is not too difficult. However, drawing forks in the right context or as Mr Morge calls it "market structure" is critical to utilising them for successful trading. Based on your posts over the past few months and your live trading it is quite obvious that you are unable to read market structure.
I think you should learn to read market structure, become a profitable...

Secondly, regarding this statement...I think you should learn to read market structure, become a profitable trader and then offer people insights...I do understand market structure very well and have been able to help some traders "see correctly". I have also been a Premium Member of Tim's for several months and decided not to continue because of my time constraints which did not allow me to receive the full benefit for the services for which I was paying.
Now regarding the comment...become a profitable trader and then offer people insights...First off, there are profitable traders who cannot teach and some who will not really teach. There are traders who have become profitable, but started teaching others and at the time they were teaching had never traded. Also, learning from a trader who is a profitable trader is no guarantee that you will be profitable if they teach you. I have taught traders, newbies and others, who are now profitable, and are also trading in international stock markets using Pitchforks and making money, with no additional help from me. Whenever I touch bases with them, they are "doing great". Part of what I try to do is to get traders to think...to look at the chart and think through price action based on what they have seen on the thread about the fork. It is not always my intention to analyze to the nth degree. I want to give them a chance to think.
I know what it is like to have consistently profitable trades in succession (20 at least). I don't think many traders can say that. What you may not know is that I have had to uproot and relocate at a moment's notice to care for my mother. Have had to adapt to quite a few changes almost on every level, including changes in sleep patterns and many times, not enough sleep. I decided to and will continue to take the step I took with my Performance Journal because I understand me and what I have had to work through. I went through with starting to trade because I said I would begin in January. On Christmas Eve I had some very upsetting news from family members concerning her that had me distracted. I was looking at charts, but not really seeing. Was not the optimum time to start the journal, but I went for it anyway because that is what I promised to do.
I do not feel offended in any way or belittled. Maybe others share some of your sentiment. I do believe though, that more traders are being helped than not, so I will continue. I have gotten emails and posts on this thread to confirm the same. I have already seen the end of the road so I'll just stay on the journey
