Nowadays, a lot of cutting edge stat work is being done by guys employed by investment banks or funds. Sooner or later, the proprietary shrouds get lifted, and it becomes public. Risk always funds research in how to control it, and risky games always fund research in how to beat them.

If you were indeed a trader with a viable strategy, it would not be difficult to prove wrong my assumptions. (A good trader has the drive to prove others wrong, especially the equity partners). Considering you are 100% right. If you did have a prospectus with audited statements it would take about 2 of my friends and myself to provide you enough capital to work with.

The first thing you should learn to do is to stop talking down to people; ever heard of attracting investors? integrity and trust mean much more in this business than trading returns.

Na, he's to busy being correct 100% all the time.

While he has been sitting their, praying price comes back and yet he still didn't manage to close 'em at BE, some of us have actually been trading.

If one of my traders had a good day, I don't expect them to log on FF to flame others and call themselves great for hours on end.. i see a consistent stream of posts since last night.

The more realistic response is to not say anything; end the day early and enjoy the rest of the day with their loved ones.

One last reference mention, and then I'm going to work on something besides watching paint dry in this holiday market.

Richard Epstein wrote a book The Theory of Gambling and Statistical Logic. Can be read at a non-technical level, or a very technical level. Covers optimal systems (or why there aren't any) for every game from tic-tac-toe through the financial markets, with such things as poker, blackjack, pari mutual, backgammon, and chess in between.

For anyone who aspires to building trading systems, it's an invaluable background resource.

If I was trading funds for others, wink wink, I certainly wouldn't be doing it on a US bank holiday....

Though there are ranges to be played through, not enough pickings to make it a worthwhile day on a cut.

The point was, you stated that investors care more about what is being said by the individual then the value of gains...on this little nugget, I gotta call bullshit...

But hey, if your customers are more happy with being coddled then are with making money, I might suggest that you start searching in a deeper trader pool...nothing says nice guys take bigger gains.
