Feel like calling this Wash 'n Rinse Friday LOL. Haven't traded anything yet...nothing looking stable enough to me yet...but that's just me. If the market keeps this up, soon it will be lunch time on the US East Coast. Hmm...and its Friday...Hmm. Oh well, we'll see if it can make up its mind and do something reasonable .

Missed my entry on the long on EG around 0.8450...just a scalp. Seems like that is what is available, except for CAD pairs. Might push again.

Although I expected a posible pullback at resistance (circle), I must say that I was unprepared for it to be strong enough to take price outside of the fork....yikes!

What occurred brings to mind the following words:

"Trade what you see until..."

That is always the posture to have Kapital (I am sure I am not saying anything new here). CAD news came out and I think that is what pushed it that far. Their Trade Balance was much better than expected. Price fell to a WL I have on H4, which is another area of support. Funny...it fell from an U-MLH, actually from the SH. It was finding support at the U-MLH maybe to launch higher (as you were thinking), but instead formed the Double Top.

I have heard it said about the weather in some parts of the Middle East..."If you don't like the weather, just wait 5 minutes" LOL. Price action could change that suddenly. Might get some roll around at the WL. Just wait to see if the "weather" will change again and when. Because the markets are so dynamic, it is good to trade "light on the feet"...being open and prepared to change direction at any time the market shows something different. The longer the TF you trade, the less of those surprises you have to deal with overall.

Also with news...wouldn't surprise me if those with "deep pockets" get a whiff as to what the report might be. Central Banks and government agencies for sure get the info. So, I am usually very attentive to tells developing before the actual announcement. Just think, the people preparing the stats know people, right? Not advising that people trade these tells, but it is just something I look for.

P.S. Making some comments here for the benefit of the readers. Before I teach anything, I get in their heads...I ask questions about them, their fears etc. and I take notes. Nothing I teach can work if there are emotional/mental barriers. These need to be worked through as well, and they need to understand that and be prepared to work through them as they learn to trade. I work on two areas at once: teaching trading and developing the trader. No other way to do it right in my opinion. Sent you a response email.

Just thought I would post this chart...had this one up on the blog some time ago...price "behaved" very well per the lines. Success with Pitchforks (and trading) starts with the right "seeing" mind/eye. After you can "see", then it's about you.
