But I haven't once seen anyone acknowledge the FACT that in forex trading volume, and price for that matter, are bid or ask changes. Repeat price is bid/ask movement and not actual trades.

So "volume" AND "price" are not the same as when trading stocks or futures.

But nonetheless are useful to those of us who know how to interpret it - no matter how many times the naysayers say ......... it can't be done.

That's an understatement.

Bigtime risk off trade in play + oil prices go parabolic northward. I'd expect lock limit up (LLU) on oil - although that doesn't mean much, as LLU is a $10 move and if I recall correctly, it only does a halt for 5 minutes. And as soon as things stabilize in Saudi oil will go back in the other direction just as quickly.
I'd expect to see most stock exchanges in the world to drop on Saudi instability, rippling across all asset classes. It'd create a helluva trading opportunity, just don't use much leverage as things could turn in the other direction very quickly.

I haven't seen any news on demonstrations in Saudi other than after the flood in Jeddah. But their secret police are about as brutal as they come.
