I think the investors will wait for the MPC rate statement to take decision whether to go bullish or go short.. tomorrow what we have is only the rates decision and i'm sure the market knows that there won't be any surprises and it will remain to be 0.5%.
So, I don't think we should take any action tomorrow. We should wait for the MPC rate statement where in they will either give hawkish remark to trigger bullish sentiment or austerity issue which can lead to sharp selling of GBP..

so better to wait Phanti bro..

Short in here with stop above yesterdays high 36.87. looking to swing this down and add to position on retrace 1.33 +/- 30pips looks like 1st target.

I'm not saying that you are wrong, but based on my analysis of the charts below, and the impending interest rate news tomorrow - most, I think, do not expect any increase, but I could be wrong - I do not see any substantial moves. By substantial, I'm thinking of hundreds of pips in one direction.

We have a little news today that may provide for some pokes, but other than that, I am expecting a somewhat dull day - now that I've said that, Cable is going to rocket...

The MPC report will probably be more interesting, and fuel speculation if it shows unexpected sentiment, and thus spur big money speculation.

As ever, I am trying now to see if positioning is taking place now by those that know the news already. A daunting task that usually ends in failure.

What makes you to think its senseless? is this against your huge crash expectations ? or what? its a public forum and a public thread, i have equal right just like other members here to express what i though on GBPUSD on thread dedicated to it, I am not here to teach and preach any one here!!

...forgot to add. With the 4hr Guppy bound tight, yes, pressure is building.

Potential scenario is that it is today that price jumps, using medium news event to surprise market as most are expecting the moves tomorrow. I do think Thursday's are used for trend change, but at present, I do not see any significant trend, and maybe big money is getting impatient to make the profits for the week.
