EJ, EU (and GU, AU, UChf, UJ, etc):

Pairs have all been exhibiting "Dollar Strength" and "euro weakness" moves over the past week (and longer). But these signs have been quickly "covered up" by subsequent PA. However, by stepping back and looking at a "larger perspective" of what is still currently happening, we can still "uncover" those sign. Look at the two H1 charts, just as examples.

It is painfully clear that the PPMs are selling off big-time! And they are smart, because after each big selling move, they recover the price, bring it up again, and consolidate (prepare) for their next selloff.

Today we all expected more movement than we got. And the PA for today now has the appearance of the price more being rescued than being sold off (or bought up, as the case may be such as for UChf, UJ, etc.). Therefore, PA is in another "rescue and consolidate" mode. Prepare for another selloff (or buy up) this week.

My conclusions, and not for just EJ and EU, but for GU, AU, UChf, UJ, etc......all of them.

While the PA has a slightly different look, the results are the same. PPMs are selling off. The attached H4 chart shows signs of this. There are three PA groupings that consist of a small box, which is consolidation (preparing for the selloff) and a taller box....the selloff.

Does it surprise you that PA continued upwards after selloffs began? It shouldn't. It is EXACTLY the strategy that works best for the PPMs when shifting from longs to shorts. And, as stated in past posts, if exceptionally large and long term short positions are being obtained, there will be sudden and deep price drops designed to "trap" traders that got in on the upside manipulations. When these trapped longs eventually start giving up, that is when the PPMs will eventually start cloing some of their shorts for nice profits.

As regards the Sonic R System, also as stated in the past, there can be setups in both directions as PPMs manipulate prices, regardless of their intents. But, if there is one thing to take away with you from these "observations" it is that cognizance of what the PPMs intentions are might help you to not expect too much from some of the setups.

Nando_rich is "playing" the current trading environment really well, trading setups with close in TPs, more as though PA will range than break out. Breakouts will eventually come. Meanwhile, expecially with setups going against the "intent" of the PPPs (like going long EJ, EU etc, if they are selling off) you do not want to be hanging on to a trade in the hopes of a big run up. The PPMs could spring their trap on the longs at any time, and that is something to keep in mind.

On this one, the PPMs have pretty well covered their tracks, but on the attached H1 chart you can still see that the tallest candles are in the selloffs, and well outnumber any tall candles to the upside. For quite some time now, PPMs have been selling off and yet continually pumping the price back up.

So, like with EU and GU, etc., SonicR setups come into play in both directions, but shorts might be less risky than longs.

At this posting, your post is 3 hours ago. Your post is not clear if you entered, or when you entered, or if you set a sell order to enter if price dropped and if that order triggered.

In any case, there are obviously two TLs in play on this pair...support and resistance. And there are two ways to go with this, assuming a SonicR setup occurs....WAVE, angle on Dragon, PA right side of Trend, and during proper trading hours, etc.

1. Enter setup as PA moves thru proper EP area.
2. Wait for pullback after that first move thru proper EP area.

PA could go either way, but the two ways to trade it don't change. And remember that PA is dancing in the whole number area. I hope the significance of that is not lost on Sonicers. There may be many traders, including some in the ranks of the PPMs, that will wait for a pullback. A pullback is not guaranteed, but with all this consolidation it is possible that some PPMs will manipulate the price back towards any EP zone after a first breakout move. I say this because a run from here could be a good one. And PPMs are not likely to miss every opportunity to use up all available liquidity before letting it go.......

.......unless the breakout move is the one that springs a trap, in which case PA could go fast and far, never looking back.

Late in day, you can see that some PPM pumped the price a bit higher. What is going on? Look at the companion M1 chart. What you are looking at is a pump to the quarter number area followed by high trading.....closing longs, opening shorts. There can be no doubt that preparations are being made. And remember this very important fact. Volume bars represent the number of trades.....not THEIR SIZE!

We see that UChf made a surprise late session extension run. Might other pairs do the same? This pair might be one to have on a watchlist. Good WAVE. Dragon angled down. PA below Trend. Only the time of day is off. For now, wait until the next London Open. But watch. Strange things may be brewing. This could fire up any time.....late US session, asian session.....who knows.

Unless I miss my guess, AUDUSD may finally stop staggering and simply fall down! Well, that might be expecting too much, but some asian session PA/V has me on the alert for something later today.

Look at the very tight range consolidation on the downside of the Dragon, and the block of high trading that went with it. Keeping in mind that we've no idea how large some of those trades might be, I'd say that something is brewing. And we might see what it is later today. On the Daily chart we see PA has been in a very tight range for the previous four days. A breakout might be coming. Has the last four days of consolidation (preparations) been for a run higher on a pair already over priced? Or have the PPMs been loading up on shorts, making the final preparations to.......DIVE!....DIVE!.....DIVE!

Which ever way it is scheduled to go, it looks like asian session PPMs just made an extra investment in it.

I will go one step further. The market has been behaving a drunk man on crytal meth. He goes sideways most of the time until you tell him something. Then, he does just the opposite and with rage. Some of my patients are model demonstrators of this.

This thread contains a lot of comments about volume and PA and with the charts to go with the comments. And it is all much to much to simply paraphrase in one post. Just work your way thru the thread. Over time, between catching up on your reading of past posts, and your reading of current posts, you can form your own viewpoint of salient aspects you can use yourself. in fact, your very question has been asked by others, and previous attempts to answer it will be found.

This dollar pair is just itching to be launched. Look at the reverse spike down on Friday, just before they made the 1st leg up! And look, they did it again, yesteday! The PPMs are obviously sandbagging for a run up higher. It is just a question of "when"....when do they have the launch scheduled? Later today?

And from this viewpoint of GU, one might say that the PPMs have already been hard at work building their short positions. It is very easy to see the direction of the most substantial moves in recent days.
