UTL as per my previous post... price seems to be respecting it so far ...position still flat . wiil look to open position on candle close M5 above LO and DP... 1.5956.8/1.5961.8 respectively.

I am here to learn how to trade w indicators. still not doing it well. I seem to be like a hound - chase something that suddenly darts, end up buying into resistance. I trade gold, fx, oil , and index futures of HKG, China, Japan. I am in china.

May be some of us are shy since we are still new in trading, so we just kept most of our opinion to ourselves, though I did try to break the ice by posting some charts and opinions few pages back.

I am basically here to learn how to trade and so far have learnt a lot from this forum, thank you all.

Will try and post more this year ... thanks for the encouragement TT.

Since it is holding price so nicely, I will PM when in trouble. You can then throw one of those on the chart to protect me..

I understand. And I respect that.

But we need to create a culture of learning. Not bashing. I know it is difficult to put your conviction out there in the open. And one will get the odd poster slamming you for that. But that is life...

The key is universal respect. And this, there is a lot of on here. You will get 100 different opinions from 200 posters. But as long as the individual is respected, we all can learn. Feel free to post more - if/when you are comfortable doing so.

Fair call TT

Another noob here. Been learning just under a year, and trading a $5k live account for about 9 months. Just trying to learn how to read price and appreciate the arguments posted by some of the more informed and logical contributors ……they know who they are!
So far managed to avoid going bust, but only by doing things that more experienced traders would avoid. So current position after 9 months; balance is up 25%, equity is down 20%, and the difference is nursing a couple of hedged trades that got out of hand……better not give up the full time job just yet.
Have so far refrained from joining the debate; that’ll come …..at the moment think it better to exercise restraint, sit aside and learn from watching the ‘pros’ doing it! Understand that this might not be considered to be in the spirit of things, but have always taken the view that it is better to be quite and be thought a fool, than to clutter up the forum with verbiage and be confirmed as one!

GL and keep up the good work.
