I've been following this thread since the beginning and I strongly believe in this method.

For anyone interested, I think Bob's new trend trading method can compliment Graeme's millipede strategy in a solid way:

Basically, it offers a very good entry method that can be traded well in conjunction with the method described in this thread.

thank you very much, greatly appreciate the help, i get the power of the concept Graeme is trying to convey here, but entry points are own learning curve.

today`s volatity has been great, but it seems now things are cooling down a bit. I`ve managed to insert a few probes here and there, I hope you guys have also been doing well. I`m a bit tempted to diversify now, but it seems too early as none of my positions are older than two days, yet the fear of losing all the profit when I wake up tomorrow has also been growing. I`ve promised myself that this time I`ll stick to Graeme`s two week rule. I found Bob's entry method extremely good, because it gives you that extra feel/ ( PRICE MUST Breakout condition Graeme spoke of).

Dont get me wrong, nothing can replace your own Home work.( Identify the Trend on the weekly, Consulting the Monthly and low risk entry.)

Now once you are in then the principle of allowing the market the dictate the faith of the probe.

I find that the weekly Trend hindsight keeps your entry on the right side.

I flip back and forth from weekly to daily to hourly to see the progress and maybe another entry...if it feels good.

It feels good to wake-up and see positions growing. When the volatility comes.

MY issue is: Some weekly pairs have better setups than some...so maybe someone can help with picking the best pair the trade on a scale at the start of the week.( Graeme mention ema crosses, Pins, Outside bars etc)

I guess if a PA shows up on the daily/weekly/monthly and has supporting factors along with PA then it would be a high percentage setup.( Confluence) then this pair would be a number one pick.

Just to mention that this Tread brought me into the light so I'm still demoing and my main objective is to grow my account and let the profits run.

Hello all, i posted some theories of mine in regard to life in the noob section of the forum, but noone seem to care about it. i guess it is no use for now, i will succummb to the masses for now. but definitely will not give up.

the following three charts shows some of the entries and exits i would have taken if i found my teacher number 1's thread and teacher Graeme's thread before these entries happened.

these entries and exits are purely random, i just pulled up a random chart and started seeing these things, without my teacher number 1's enlightenment phase, it would not be possible.

Now, Master Graeme is sooo nice and generous to guide us all in millistep but i feel sometimes(by reading the questions) that his kindness could be his greatest weakness. (i dont mean disrespect master Graeme, but sometimes its better for the baby to learn to walk on their own)

master graeme is teaching us how to fish (method) as oppose to giving us his biggest catch of the day (a free system)

all of us have heard the following quote "give a man a fish, you feed him for a meal, teach a man HOW to fish, you feed him for a life time" but how many of us can see that through teacher Graeme's teaching here on FF.

Just for the above, master Graeme, you have deepest gratitude and wish you nothing that wouldnt wish my loved one.


i hope at least some people can finally realize something from these pics and my time writing and drawing the lines on paintshop is not wasted. i took my own time to post these for mostly the public's benefit, so please, try to think a bit about it.

side note: these are hindsight, 20/20 vision, but im not trying to discuss my method for entry but rather trying to put your thinking cap on a lot of you.

edit: there would be some short entry on the rise and long entry on the fall that would be losses, but i didnt include these entries as it would clogg up the chart and stray away from the main purpose im posting these pics.

i am really curious about the public opinion as to what that graph represents. please pm me about your answer if you have the time ^.^ and i am sorry if this method of SEEING has been posted after post 1000ish, thats where i finished reading last night. then by all means, tell me, so i can delete my post to clear up space on this thread

finally I shorted EU but couldn't have enough time to watch and stack..it could have been a really good day to stack..I'll just stick to my only short for now at 1.3393 and stack tomorrow if possible..its at b.e

p.s:if anybody remember i said i was going to keep my hindsight down at the end of the last month because of the monthly inside bar after a big bearish engulfing candle..Of course i did some small probes on long side but they all died at b.e and for now it seems only my short trades working

Your input is really appreciated here. Playing in this the game makes one loose focus of the fundamental stuff and it takes input such as yours to remind us that a PA is the universal element that bind traders together irrespective of the timeframe, its just slower on larger TF but and the scale is larger.

Sometimes it gets overwhelming but at least there is a place where one can tap into a ask humbly for help.

@ nomask, this is just my perception as i could be wrong, if i candle closed green, the chance of the next candle has at least a 60% chance of being green and vice versa. and thank you very much for sharing your view of the market with us, we can all learn from each other. edit: love your signature, lol. many do say market is like a lady with pms. ^.^ guess that one hit home

@chips, thank you very much for your reply, it makes me think that even if one person can change their view of life and that $$$ is not the most thing after reading my thread or input, it is worth my time.

I've created a few custom indicators ... some of them being currency 'indicies' which measure the relative strength of a currency against the pairs for which it trades. Ex: for my EUR index, I look at the relative strength of how it trades against a few pairs (EURGBP, EURUSD, EURGBP, EURAUD, EURCHF, EURAUD, EURCAD, EURJPY) and plot it (black line), along with a 5 and 10 ema of the EUR index. The attached charts show my EUR and USD index for daily charts.

Now looking at EUR, it seems it has broken up of a TL and starting an uptrend, and USD has broken down from the wedge and starting a downtrend. We should therefore look to buy the EURUSD pair on dips. Next I will show charts of EURUSD ...

Edit: The USD and EUR indicies (and all others I have created) are good when they both align. Ex: in the graphs in July, EUR was up, USD was down, so EURUSD was up. In Nov, EUR down, USD up, soe EURUSD down.

When both indicies are moving opposite directions, a large move happens in a cross pair between the two indicies. If both move the same direction (both EUR and USD up or both down), the pair tends to chop around. This is overall a good filter to look for what is trending, and look for breakouts, changes, etc in the underlying currencies ... to look for setups in a cross pair.

Hello nomask, very nice entry example. I think your style is proabaly the most close to Graeme`s. trading like you do require a lot of patience, I`m still working on that.

none of my probes survived for EU and GU, I wonder how long this whipsaw is gonna last.

EURUSD monthly: in the middle of large multi year range.
EURUSD weekly: broke TL up, but below 200 ema
EURUSD daily: broke TL up, price considation
EURUSD hourly: price above 200 ema; candelcode indicator in buy area

Overall no solid trend ... but can be the start of one up? I think later I will send in a buy probe with SL below 200 EMA on hourly.

but only thing I'm suffering is sometimes I "force" myself to see some entries..
thats totally unnecessary.. Most of the time it only works when entry "simple" and "obvious" to catch for everybody around the world.This type of entries give you at least some space and time to move b.e no matter if you're in right or wrong side of the market.

as i said earlier i had no time to watch and stack this trade but I would have entered these three positions if i was watching it..
