GU Update:

Per attached chart. And take note of the low volume so far. It doesn't appear the big guns have excited any particular move. Therefore, all it is doing is ranging right now. But the volume story off of M1 says the biggest activity is as price approaches highs and as it is driven off the highs. This is indicative of selling; closing longs and acquiring shorts.

Well, there is the pump-to-short executed by the early euro PPMs. One strong thrust to get price past the whole number and from then on they are acquiring shorts at the highs!

Of course, there is always the possibility that intelligent traders suddenly went "long" and continue to go "long" in a concentrated way, now that they have the price up!


Edit: Added 3rd chart. For any Sonikers that still do not believe there is any such thing as "Pump and Dump", there it is. Brought to you by the PPMs that "don't exist".

The worse that might happen is that all the expected short setups on this last day of the week, just fizzle out and go nowhere and PA starts ranging. This could happen on a lot of pairs. Being that it is Friday, and that the PPMs sentiment seems to be bearish on euro and bullish on dollar, and that they seem to be shorting accordingly, they might just carry this activity of building their short positions on over into next week. The next good runs might not be until next week.

We'll just have to see what the market decides.

You are to be congratulated, nando_rich, for setting a good example for all Sonikers.

Why? Because in this highly volatile holiday market, you exited a trade that suddenly went bad, before you lost money! You did not make the mistake of hanging on in the hope PA would reverse again. You were quick to react, and your reaction was correct.

Congratulations on a trade properly managed!

As we Sonikers grow in the experience of trading the SonicR method, we will eventually come to the realization that we learned more, and grew more as a successful trader, from our properly managed "12 pip trades", than from our 200 pip trades.

See posts #15937, #15938, and #15941. It is very possible today PA will go flat, and just range. Time will tell.

As Sonic says, let the market decide. At this point PA is neutral. If it moves, it could be either way. So we wait and see. That is all we can do.

Pumlitch, if you are referring to the blue bands on Basber's black charts, he does them by hand with the MT4 Rectangle Draw tool.

This M30 chart, configured to the M15 Dragon and Trend, clearly shows the high candle starting the Frankfurt session to be with the highest volume. And the M1 (not shown) volume study shows the highest volume bars were at the highest prices during that time frame. This clearly is selling; closing longs and the building of short positions.

So, I cast my vote for bearish. But again, let's follow Sonic's wisdom and wait to see what the market decides. It could go either way, or the PPMs might just decide to carry on all this consolidation into next week. Which means it would just range for the rest of the day. So, we wait and see.
