Well, if you do enough web trolling, you can find articles from legitimate "sources" that can sway both ways. CNBC is notorious for posting articles claiming the USD is in trouble by one source and then hedging that claim with another article claiming the opposite.

Mind you, I'm not saying your wrong, but I've lost a lot of money trading based on those exact same type of articles; when in reality, the chart was telling me everything I needed to know and everything I really should have been paying attention to. Not, suedo monetary experts spouting their political babble.

I haven't visited Rueters, CNBC, or any other financial website for over a year and I've done very well for myself listening to my training solely.

Take it for what it's worth....which also, depending on your point of view, might not be much!

Good stay short. I'm a bull and staying bullish until next year Feb.

Friday's last minute rally was due to the words of 'Bernanke' talking about using all of QE2 funds.

It broke 4h trend, BUT I think that exposure was due to 'news', 'ECB buying bonds' and nothing technical ...IMO temp pressure from 'in-house'.

I am going with the 1.3440-1.3470 area before it starts going back down, at least temporarily.

And the ECB is announcing on Monday, Europe time, how much in bonds they purchased and the number is expected as of now to be an 'unsustainable' amount so that might do damage to the Euro.

But no one knows!

How strong is this recovery ot is it just a pullback in daily downtrend?

€ at an interesting position, weekly bullish hammer candle closed as price tested it's 4hr/daily descending trend line drawn from the 4285 Hi aalso confluence with bottom of a previous 4hr/daily swing lo zone (previous support) top of which is the 38.2% fib of that 4285-2968 with 61.8% of 3790 to same 2968 lo.

It's as strong as it wants to be. Momentum and sentiment (fear & confidence) will determine if it's a pullback or reversal.

EVERY, and I mean, EVERY reversal starts with a perceived pullback, typically followed with some market chop, and then into the full reversal once levels have been broken.

Perception is reality until reality proves you wrong.

Personally, I'd say if this continues (and I shy from calling it a reversal yet) a reversal is most likely.

different perspective then , u are long-term i am a short-term , i rarely hold a position for more than 1 week , and it was USD/JPY in the 80s area

So I wonder where we will see the market open with all these rumours about Germany dropping the Euro?

I would love to see the downtrend continue for a little while. I would be great to see the yearly low be tested.

I cannot get my charts up right now (bloody weekend!) so I was wondering where is the trendline break for the daily for the downtrend to be broken?

I'm working on a good buzzz. Ok I'm not really drunk and seldom am, but I do get a little miffed at top and bottom callers. Its always less likely to turn than continue.

If (and one day I hope to be that good) you can pick 80% out of the middle, your a f*cking trading God. Please;;;;;; forgive me all you 20 pip wonders...............
