Did anyone else noticed the weekly outside up on the S&P's? not beatiful one, but cant ingnore. If it works we want to be long EUR/USD.. Keep in mind we got big numbers on friday!! good luck trading

The market spiked today based on a rumor that IMF would help out more, and the U.S. was quick to comment that they would not fund it.

Words do damage in Forex, be it temporary or long-term, it can twist the market.

I am simply saying it is a possibility, just like we got to this point in the first place.

To say something, anything, can't happen in any market ... be it futures, commodities, or forex ... is idiotic. I think it is more wise to prepare for all scenarios instead of just the most likely scenario.

The Detroit Lions will win the Super Bowl before that happens.

It would be political suicide for any US Senator or Congressman that voted in favor of a EZ bailout, imo.

Vote for EZ bailout, we don't really vote for it. We fund the IMF ... we are the main funders of the IMF. We have a lot of gold reserves, the IMF is #3 in the world with gold reserves.

& it has already happened, who do you think bailed out Greece & Ireland?

that was just part of the spike reason.. we were do for it.. it should have spiked further..just 120 pips from release. the u.s. retraction was long after the spike. .. the chf barely moved verses usd ... its better to be safe then sorry.. nothing wrong with the sideline.

we hit a major 50% fib last night on usdx.

I don't think anything is ever 'due-up' or 'over-due' in Forex ... if every sign that showed 'over-due' happened. The signal would be null.

The WSJ retraction news release was long after the spike, the actual market movers knew about it long before the U.S. It takes time for the news to funnel out for non-emergency ... non-scheduled events.

Not seeing much early. Mostly ranging in the shadow of the big bull candle. Bulls will want to defend 3060. Just below there 3036/46 was where the rally started yesterday. Above the market I'll keep an eye on 3147 and see if that opens 3196. Good luck today, PTL....

they bailed out a portion. but to get more funds they have to ask congress.

Assuming you meant you didn't understand what I meant?

the news of the U.S. denying the funds for IMF came from the WSJ {wall street journal} today. A source told a WSJ reporter/columnist or whatever the rumors were false.

The communication calculation, by the time 'we' heard about it, we were the 5th or 6th in line.

1. policy maker saying no
2. rep receiving information
3. wsj taking information
4. approval to report it
5. published info & we read it

somewhere in the mix of 1-5, since there is no insider trading, the big-wigs/market-movers/central-banks/etc. received this info LONG before us.

The rumor of the IMF being funded by the U.S. had to come from somewhere.

i got it the first time.
i didn't get all of the long... i got 80/90 pips of it before the spike.

also just read that some CTA's are selling Euro's now bringing the EUR/USD down and the EUR/JPY down.

If registered firms are selling, that might be a signal for myself to start putting a position for now.
