I am great thanks....so busy at work at the moment due to christmas season so having to put trading on the back burner until the new year but still have a nosey.

I could still trade but i would lose money as i cannot dedicate a enough time to it at the moment.

Over the weekend, the U.K. announced that they are willing to offer Ireland a direct loan of GBP7 billion. With a large budget deficit of its own and the prospect of austerity measures that is expected to dampen growth, many critics have wondered if the U.K.’s government’s proactive offer is in the country’s best interest. Unfortunately the answer is yes because U.K. banks are heavily exposed to Irish banks. As BoE Governor King pointed out last week their exposure is “by no means trivial.” While “the direct holdings of Irish sovereign debt are not especially large,” the ownership “of securities issued by Irish banks are bigger and of course there are wider exposures to assets comprising loans to the Irish economy more generally.” Of all the major countries, the U.K. has the biggest bank exposure to Ireland, followed by Germany. To prevent a banking crisis of their own, the U.K. government felt the need step up and provide support to Ireland before is too late.

a trendline is simply a tool to map price..and to show u visually whether it is up or down..or sideways even..

thats it..if u understand this..u wont give it more importance than just that

magix use moving averages..it does the same thing..theres no exact science for this..except that if u approach trading randomly then its random..if u use certain conditions then u take the randomness out of the equation to give yourself an edge..its that simple and think every descent trader would accept this

true words imo.. personally still testing the water to see if the "edge" i believe i have found beneficial and traded consistantly over the last 4 months still holds true.. good day yesterday, but not so today.. looking to recover today as entry triggered and need to trade it regardless even though tide agaisnt looks strong on 4 hour and other TF's..

tweaks may jump out at me somehwere along the way..

thought i'd pop on the thread for 1st time today.. and for my thruppney bits worth... am of the opinion that the trader needs to be consistent in method... win lose draw.. win preferably

Don't get me wrong D...I use trend lines as a guide, both shorter term and longer term charts, they do help keep me in line. More so trade and watch them in the form of trade channels but all the same.

Where I take issue is with that scuba trader from last night. Posting a line at every new candle countering the trend. Well, even a busted clock is correct 2x per day, but for the most part, that ass was telling me to continue selling...which I did, while he was loading the boat on longs...1.5888 was his big add place....wonder who is happier at the end of the day???

It really isn't that I am against any trade method, nor do I believe one is better then another, really, I can only go by what I do and am always looking to improve. What troubles me is not the trend lines, but how people choose to use them, much like your later post, stating the same thing in jest...keep drawing them to suit your chart and particular bias.

I wonder how much of his 9000% gains got eaten away on dogshit trading and challenging the trend? I wonder why he hasn't chimed in since wormie handed his technical ass to him?

We see them come, we see them go. Fortunately, the ones with the biggest mouths and who shout from rooftops are usually the ones dealt with by a swift lesson in trend following by market and discontinue their diatribes here.

It is fun to fawk with them though...I have never seen the dude, but can imagine a vein throbbing out of his forehead after a quick little retort from me. Simpletons...

Magix see, I was indeed with a bull sentiment but my idea was mainly this one [here] simple and plausible. play the triangle sell @ resistance, buy @ support and let it break. Now the problem is that you got all offended when I started analysing the market to pinpoint whether or not to add more. look this one how I was trading [here]
Once that last bear trendline broke on the M5 I bought and the price went up about 70 pips if I'm not wrong. Then when it was falling back, I was posting a re-entry strategy to add more to that trade. Damn man there is nothing wrong with that. Overall those bull trades I had a 20 pip profit (I could have closed the first one way higher but well we all make bad decisions from time to time.)
Then seriously, with all you guys trolling about my trading instead of showing me for example a chart like this navin posted. I started to get distracted from my trading and for me it was hard to believe that I was wrong for so much douchebaggery (I'm really sorry if you get offended but look at your posts to me - you never ever said look this is what you're missing [for eg] without laying the scuba or the monkey or whatever more) I admit that at that time I totally disregarded the weekly chart and to be honest nobody was in the thread with the purpose of helping - just trolling.
So yeah I didn't see it and boosted another long (that last one) when it was really clear that the TL was broken.

Who is happier in the end of the day? (regarding trading)
Well I don't know cause I got quite happy with the sell-out on GBP/JPY sold at the clean H4 trendline break.

Well believe me I found it one of the worst days trading on the GBP/USD pair and I totally blame it on me for being so distracted with a thread that is supposed to promote co-operation between traders.
