depends if we range or continue to fall from here.

if we get above 1590, the MPP 5940 area is now also the DPP so that would be a good first resistance test area.

GU is at an interesting crossroads. if this area holds as the bottom, then we may start the journey back up. but we're currently trading under the MPP. MS1 looks about right for the next downside target under WS2. Above 15947 looking for 16025 area.

I use some of the same technique on 15m chart with a 10ema and a 35ema with a 200ema in the background. It also worked very nicely today.

The M15 was the relevant chart for this action to be sure...

The 1m chart I use as my ATR counter. Sure, there's tools a fella could use and make shit real easy like, but I like this way better....I catch 7-10 reversals per week, 4 just today using a count on cross.

Just one tool in the box for use. I take triggers on the relevant charts on a double hulls, always eyeballing roll over prices...Admitedly, I prefer to trade off a 5m chart, but still eyeball all the time frames, see how long I can guestimate and gauge between plays.

Meh...even a blind squirrel finds an acorn once in a while...

Still waiting for the retrace on GU to mature. Hope to see a pullback to 1.5941 (lower level of the weekly channel by lows) or to 1.5950 (low of last week).

From there I will place short trades with target 1.5714 ( October opening price). Price has found temporary support on the daily in the 1.5836 to 1.5883 range for now.

could't agreed more

...i also think that if we are still in a bear play...we should be reaching 1.5930 or not more than 1.5950 to be exact......between 1.5930 - 1.5950 is a very interesting level to watch for cable IMHO....above 1.5950 is no more bear territory....

and one should change plan from short to long....

Wouldn't be holding my breath on that one TT....

Cable had a hard enough time making it over daily roll, from there, wasn't able to hold on. As the pairs typically move in buy and sell patterns, strength to bears and bulls on size of move....This has been the buy cycle, me thinks.

EU/EJ have almost completed their 5m 200EMA retraces, from here, if everything goes into a sell zone....TIMBERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

Now...what else may happen, EG hitting 30m resistance, maybe we see the drop in euro pairs and buys on the GBPs....

Guess we shall soon see....

Agreed. We do have the monthly open @ 1.6043. My bearish bias will only subside once that is crossed. But between 1.5950 and 1.6043, it would probably range and will not be a good place to look for directional longer term positions.

Thinking like "they" would be thinking... Stops are probably placed just above 1.5900 up to 1.5920/30 from this last move down. An important break happened yesterday. It will be all too easy to just continue down from here.

They may be looking at enticing some longs by pushing back over 1.5900 and a bit. Same time stopping out fresh shorts. Then reverse.

Seriously though - one has to have a stoploss. The debate around fixed and mental.... Fixed stoploss is of no use if one moves that in any case in the hope that you survive. Mental is of no use if you change your mind...

I believe one's entry should be as best you can manage/anticipate as per your plan and/or rules. I do use a mental stop and this vary depending on key levels around the area of entry. It is rare not to experience a bit of drawdown - for me anyway - especially on the longer term charts.

Off to gym.. will see where we are when I return.
