I've already stated why I'm here and as I said have no hidden intentions or pretend to be here without any business intentions etc etc. So that argument for me is none. I'm a commercial member, yes. And I never tried to pretend that I'm not. Now if that makes me better or worse than other people offering their services here pretending they do so because they're nice people...you have to decide that for yourself.

At the same time I honestly believe that the service I provide is much better and more helpful to traders than most other services in this business out there. Plus I'm offering my time and skills for free to some extend, by giving free webinars and posting I hope "usefull" stuff in my thread from time to time.

But I'm no saint, no and maybe your alarm bell in general issn't a bad one

The problem that I see is that members such as yourself, who try to be genuinely helpfull, whilst also promoting their own services, get restricted to posting in the commercial section cess pit if they're upfront and honest.
I've never promoted my services here at FF. I don't need to. I have no agenda here other than casual participation. But I make a secondary income elsewhere from the sale of both forex-related, and non-forex-related, software.

Rule 3 .... If you make money by servicing Forex traders in any way, shape, or form, or have any commercial agenda whatsoever, you are NOT permitted to post in the forums regardless of whether your posts are promotional or not.

So I don't need to read up on the site's rules as you state, the rule is not being enforced as written. And your posts on this thread stating that you manage funds are indeed advertising, it does not have to be only advertising on your thread that would tip you to commercial, it should be advertising on any thread.

I find it illogical that FF should be cleared of all responsibility, after all isn't FF partially liable since they deleted all the negative threads on jacko? it could be implied that FF assisted jacko in the scheme. defenders would say that they just did a 'clenup' and they only did what they had to do to 'keep the peace' doesn't take away the fact that FF conveniently took one side of the issue, and 'cleaned house' by throwing out dissenting views without taking into account the flip side of the story or starting their own investigation on why. The fact that FF subjective extraction of only 'certain' post (usually dissenting), showed a bias to one side of the issue and could have blinded some people to the fact that there was a complete opposite view of jacko among some forumers.

Nothing like a good internal cleansing to lighten the load.

BTW: In the beginning I too was a fan of the Jacko's craze, but as time rolled on I began to smell a fish in the pudding, but never posted those doubts as I assumed the moderators were keeping a close eye on everyone & their postings (especially the commerical posters) so I decided to let them do what they do best moderate & investigate. Oh well, my bad.

WOW!! Color me stupid!!! No, I never gave a cent to Jacko, and I still follow the basic methodology for trading as it does work for me (When I don't F it up).

I never bought into the "Signal Service" - sorry, the "I'm trading SMS" thing. It just smelt wrong. $700 a year for something that can be done with email for free? (Most phones, at least in US have email address for text messaging)

I still didn't see this coming although the writing was on the wall as I look back at older posts for the last few hours. I gave up on the thread because of the fighting that was going on about a year ago.

Especially when clicking on links of "He's updated his blog" as I was reading through and cannot be found errors pop up.

I hope that all involved get it made right for them, in cash, justice or blood.

Not that I condone violence, but I understand it.

As one of Jacko's turtles, I'm very personally concerned by the whole affair.
I have yet to take time to complete my reading of all the posts that were written on this thread since Jacko stopped replying our emails (I just did not think of coming on FF to check what was going on until now...).
I would be interested to know if some legal action is under way.
Just in case it helps those who are actively chasing him, I bumped into this page, which mentions his Limited company. It is in Chinese, but if someone can read it, it may contain information to get to the person behind the company.

Yep, that's exactly what happened.

I didn't invest in his fund, but paid $500 to join, he never charged me a renewal fee, I'm guess he was probably on the run and didn't want people to send money and track him down to where the money is sent. The information he provided publicly was useful so I didn't mind spending $500 to join his blog, I just thought of it as taking another trade where there is a chance of losing or winning. I had access to his blog till around August, then he closed all 4 of his private blogs.

Jacko said he was originally born in FL, US, then moved to Hong Kong. Someone tracked down his yahoo email address he had a couple years ago to Singapore, but was having investors money wired to Hong Kong in US dolars to someone named Knowles. His Jackson Fortress Account was registered offshore in BVI, where it couldn't be linked to a specific person. As generous as he was, he said he put $100,000 of his own money and guaranteed people 30% annual return for the first year. He also had multiple usernames with which he was trying to convince people what a great trader Jacko was, Newbietrader and fxtrader29 are just that 2 I can think of right now... I guess all that sounds legit.
