Anyway my alarm bells would ring if a "successfull trader" who offers some service:
- A commercial vendor, with a FF history of 19 posts spanning a whopping 3 months, claims he's successful & starts pitching his service
(and pitches it in the thread of a scam artist of all places..)

I've already stated why I'm here and as I said have no hidden intentions or pretend to be here without any business intentions etc etc. So that argument for me is none. I'm a commercial member, yes. And I never tried to pretend that I'm not. Now if that makes me better or worse than other people offering their services here pretending they do so because they're nice people...you have to decide that for yourself.
At the same time I honestly believe that the service I provide is much better and more helpful to traders than most other services in this business out there. Plus I'm offering my time and skills for free to some extend, by giving free webinars and posting I hope "usefull" stuff in my thread from time to time.
But I'm no saint, no and maybe your alarm bell in general issn't a bad one

OUTSTANDING.........You my friend raise some valid points.....limited liability & responsiblility by internal cleansing of negative inquisitive comments.
Nothing like a good internal cleansing to lighten the load.
BTW: In the beginning I too was a fan of the Jacko's craze, but as time rolled on I began to smell a fish in the pudding, but never posted those doubts as I assumed the moderators were keeping a close eye on everyone & their postings (especially the commerical posters) so I decided to let them do what they do best moderate & investigate. Oh well, my bad.

Color me stupid!!! No, I never gave a cent to Jacko, and I still follow the basic methodology for trading as it does work for me (When I don't F it up).
I never bought into the "Signal Service" - sorry, the "I'm trading SMS" thing. It just smelt wrong. $700 a year for something that can be done with email for free? (Most phones, at least in US have email address for text messaging)
I still didn't see this coming although the writing was on the wall as I look back at older posts for the last few hours. I gave up on the thread because of the fighting that was going on about a year ago.
Especially when clicking on links of "He's updated his blog" as I was reading through and cannot be found errors pop up.
I hope that all involved get it made right for them, in cash, justice or blood.
Not that I condone violence, but I understand it.

I didn't invest in his fund, but paid $500 to join, he never charged me a renewal fee, I'm guess he was probably on the run and didn't want people to send money and track him down to where the money is sent. The information he provided publicly was useful so I didn't mind spending $500 to join his blog, I just thought of it as taking another trade where there is a chance of losing or winning. I had access to his blog till around August, then he closed all 4 of his private blogs.
Jacko said he was originally born in FL, US, then moved to Hong Kong. Someone tracked down his yahoo email address he had a couple years ago to Singapore, but was having investors money wired to Hong Kong in US dolars to someone named Knowles. His Jackson Fortress Account was registered offshore in BVI, where it couldn't be linked to a specific person. As generous as he was, he said he put $100,000 of his own money and guaranteed people 30% annual return for the first year. He also had multiple usernames with which he was trying to convince people what a great trader Jacko was, Newbietrader and fxtrader29 are just that 2 I can think of right now... I guess all that sounds legit.
