Holy Sh!t! They did it really! They parked it at the confusing point a few pips away from the last high at 3951

That leaves a zillion options open. Can't wait Sunday :-)

Now we are at the spot, where we have retraced 62% of the downmove from
4080. Maybe we test a round number 4000, that would be a fib 76.4%.

This upmove from 3734 is a clear abc zigzag correction. Normally the c-wave of such a correction is about the same lenght as wave A. But around 70% would qualify too (that were 3959).

Judging from the structure of the c-wave the upmove might be complete.

If the whole pattern since the top at 4159 is a triangle, than 4010 would be a sweet spot: intercept point of upper trendline of triangle and upper trendline of the recent abc-pattern

We will see soon enough.

Portugal will have state budget 2011 approved next week...

A bearish gartley is forming on the Hourly chart. Price should go up to 1.4007 and bounce off the utl and go down monday, Tuesday should be tight range ahead of Wednesday's big news.

Also, a diamond topping formation is being formed on h4. price should break the diamond at 1.3837 following the FOMC statement.

Done when interest rates are at or close to 0.

Fed prints money... no money is really printed... it's done a computer.

Money is used to buy long term debt. Actually... the Fed can buy whatever they want.

This gives banks more money to lend and lower interest rates so people can borrow more and buy more.

So... how much are we talking... about a trillion this time. (that's the rumor)

Now... let's forget the fact that it was tried in Japan a few years back and didn't work and also in the US last March... and... well... since there is need for a second round apparently the first round didn't work.

What's the worst that can happen? Well... no one really knows but many fear the 'unattended consequences.'

Why does no one know? We've never been here before. In my next post I'll talk about some of the 'risks'

The coming week will nonetheless prove enduring for the risk-averse investor - with US mid-term elections (Tuesday), FOMC meeting (Wednesday), ECB and BoE meeting (Thursday), and BoJ meeting and US non-farm payrolls (Friday).

How risky is to trade next week? Looks like the coming week will be decideing to set up some trends.

Ok ,you are so brave , price close just above 3918 should be enough for 4015 journey & hope there will some one to pick it after the ranging to 1.5144 - 1.5944 movement as per last week analysis with the diamond failure , though still not , 4015 break should start confirm & 4080 2nd & 4157 final. before the final no bull to come in the scene.usdx may or should break the tl at 77.14 ok too yet 77.06 there in support if fail last tl 76.06 /75.97 ( now 76.15 though ) and even that also fail then last option the bottom may hold yet 74.14 before deep & profound US reccession be back.
Anyway next week should be full of thrills & adventure from the start & most cretical we ever thought.may still halt for another week though.

Yes, compared to stocks the information with volume in Forex is pure tick movement and in your brokers platform also... I am not saying this tick volume is useless and there are profitable traders who uses it...

Its important that you understand what actually happens when you execute a trade and who determines the price. This is quite different from with stocks, first of all you have the inter-bank market which is securities and commercials.. the trading that happens here happens so quickly that we won't even see it... (false reading in your volume chart).. and over 50% of forex trading happens here...

Outside of this interbank market we have us, here in FF , hedge traders, smaller banks and all types of companies that will lock in a price at a specific level...

If the FX retailer your using are big (have lots of money) they can offer spread which is lower because they will get a better price in this circle...


In stocks you normally learn to trade a couple while looking outwards (oil, gold, other markets alot more)... The "more" work pays off more if you know what I mean...

In the long term it comes down to getting more pips than you loose and off course the value of each pip should increase over time, sloooowly...... The way you do it doesn't really matter, if you find a way which gives you an edge you are sweet...

I reckon what I am saying is that risk/reward doesn't really come from each trade nor the 2% rule...

I reckon most traders fail because of the lack in consistency in the way they execute trades, revenge trades and not knowing the real value of the spread they are paying (eg. if you aim for 10 pip reward, risking 10 = 10% is against you already in the spread so a 60% system is necessary) this is the real reason for why you should have a higher timeframe, not because it doesn't trend at 1M or 5M but the spread is killing your account... Spread shouldn't be higher than 1-2% in my opinion...

Maybe one of the most overlooked things also in FX failure is the small account, building an account is much, much, MUCH harder than having a big account from the start trying to get a couple of % a week tops for pure living purposes...
