lesser pips = more efficiently at reaching 1% target.
for US trader - find non US broker with similar 500:1 leverage, min position size of .01, no commission, and then copy trades(copytool) from GoMkt to non Us broker: that would be like trading with GoMkt in a sense.

Hi Frazerd,

I´ve try a lot of times to make work Phantom_Add_02_taz on my VPS, all seems correct but not trades taken, in "experts" tab I can see the trades but in "trades" tab, no real trades, and balance not move.
Outside my VPS with the same broker no problem, but in my VPS (I have try with 2 different VPS), it doesn´t open trades.

Any idea? I love this ea but I need it to work on VPS.....

I have no idea why a VPS would make any difference. All my demos are running on VPS???

Caillou, give us some screen shots of your MT4 platform with the screen comments.. maybe we can see something there that will help.

Now, with my broker, outside my VPS, no trades too.... I don´t understand...all settings default, unless Maxmargintouse: 0.4, 10.000$ demo account, leverage 200:1.
As you can see in the picture, in "expert" tab we see "Reversing a GBP/CHF short", but the trade was not open as you can see in picture 2.
I´m doing something wrong sure, but I don´t know what....

I have been trialling the Phantom_Addsix_02 live on a small IBFX mini account and my observations are as follows:

1/ I note that there may be a small bug - I am currently getting two pairs open on the hour sometimes, both on the same side of the hedge (G/U and E/J). This has occurred several times, but not...
regarding the bug you mentioned, its not a bug, i checked the code. at the top of the hour it places order for the biggest phantom winner. just one symbol only. it doesnt order a 'hedge' pair. so when you start the EA, initailly you may have only one order. and after 1 hr you may have order on same or a different pair. if its same pair then you are building dependancy on that pair, but good news is its biggest phantom winner. after a while you may have a basket of trades with 1 or 2 or 3 or more pairs.

there is no guarantee that hedge is built here. thats why i always place a stoploss of 200 pips just in case.

the reasn why you see 2 trades on the hour sometimes is, the hour check goes for a full minute, 00 to 59 sec, so during this 60 sec you may have one pair as biggest winner and again another pair as biggest winner. then it places orders for all these pairs. but thats rare

i agree with you on checking more frequently. may be every 15 min or 30 min. also about adding only if all its previous adds are in profit. otherwise theres no use , you are just adding spreads to your PL. more orders, more pips to beat the spread

Half an hour later, 2 more trades must be opened but not real trades open, why ???????

Are you saying you are manually adding a SL of 200 pips to every trade that was entered by the Phantom add6 02 EA?

How long are you testing this?

no. i modified the EA to have hard stop loss of 200 pips. i never trade without a stoploss

The EA only places trades when a phantom pair is +20 or -20 pips or more. Your first screen shot shows only 1 pair at 20 pips, but if it was not at 20 at the hour or half hour when the EA checks, it would not open a trade. The second shot shows no phantoms - or + 20 pips. That is the reason there are no trades.

Also, be aware that every time you make a change and click OK on the input menu, it resets the pip count back to zero. So if you have looked at it and not made changes, be sure to click Cancel rather than OK. Cancel will not reset to zero.

Hi Caillou,

The problem could be due to lot size. At line 667, lot size is calculated to have 2 decimal places, your MT4 may not be able to trade lot size with 2 decimal places, eg. 0.12. Try changing the code to only produce 1 decimal place to see if it trades.

Line 667:

UseLots = StrToDouble(DoubleToStr(UseLots,2));

change to,

UseLots = StrToDouble(DoubleToStr(UseLots,1));

In 1º picture, GBP/CHF was at more than -20 in half an hour, and this is why in "expert" tab we read "reversing a GBP/CHF short", but not trades taken.
I have try with +/- 5 pips, and nothing, no real trades open, any idea?
