ya it's ok, was mostly just teasing. A least i've always said time will tell on the mod ideas i had, and never promised anything

This one is still going strong. The statement says ver 01 which is what it started out as, but it's been running 02 for some time -- since the equity line took off in such a nice straight fashion.

I see that you had that on relatively low risk settings, what was your max floating DD%?

yeah i went ahead and added the addsix as well to a demo, just left it all default and will see where it stands after awhile. it's dead flat right now and nothin going on again yet after the last pop hehe

i have been reading this thread with great interest, right now i am demoing basket_add_v2

may be this is a stupid question. out of 14, can we remove some and make a list of 8 or 10 ? i want to avoid initial drawdown due to spreads. without effecting the hedge aspect. somehow i dont like NZD, AUD pairs

roundrock, a very tiny amount of reading of the thread should quickly reveal the better EAs. I won't be removing anything as it stands as a learning experience for some, myself included.

Regarding these EA we have had here untill now in this thread,it seems and according to my demo accounts with different brokers for atlest 2 weeks, Phantom-addsix-02 has a suuccessful performance.

I just wondering what does this EA do, to have a great performance?
Is it just adds new winning trade every 15 minutes and closes the looser ones?
Since you have explained few times the details of my questions,i'll be very appriciated if you do answer this one too.

none of MC's eas (ones not modded by others here including myself) take trades every 15mins that I know of. It should only be taking new trades once per hour at the top of the hour.

MC,

I read all the posts, downloaded Basket14_Add_02 and Basket14_Add_01

01 says add will be 1/10 of use lot

02 is using same lot as original lot. there is no AddLot here.

if we are adding same lot size (in 02) then the hedge factor of all trades will be greatly tilted. if we use 1/10 then its ok.

am i reading it correctly or missing something ?

Daily report - up 29.3% in less than 3 weeks - lowest margin 1187.63%
GoMarkets 500:1 - MaxMargin = 0.1, ProfitPct = 0.5
All you non-US folks who can still use 500:1 leverage should be taking a serious look at this EA.
Great work, Taz. The people who have reported big DDs and low margin levels with this EA must be using more aggressive settings.

I wish it was doing this well on my IBFX 50:1 account. It is still doing well on that account, but not nearly as prolific.

ibfx accumulated large amount of pips for only just 3day of testing, in comparison to gomarkets - almost equal in term of pips? anyone knows the reasons behind this?
it would be a match made in heaven if we could have high return and high pips count - at least for people that create and sells EA for a living.

The Maxmargin settings need to be appropriate for the leverage. With this EA (phantom_Add_02-taz) 0.1 seems to be perfect for 500:1 leverage. The smaller the leverage the larger MaxMargin can be and remain safe. Although I used the term aggressive settings, that doesn't mean you should increase the MaxMargin. I think some people reporting on this thread may be using the default 0.4 on 500:1 and 400:1 accounts. That is aggressive and is probably the reason for their poor performance reports.

I cannot tell you how to set your account, because I have not tested other settings. However, it would seem reasonable to assume that if 0.1 is good for 500:1, then 0.2 may work for 400:1, 0.3 for 300:1, 0.4 for 200:1, etc. The only way to know for sure is to test it and see what happens.

I am using the default 0.4 on my 50:1 account and that is working, but not as well as the 500:1 account. After this week I will probably try increasing it to 0.5 and then to 0.6. However, there is a point of no return at the lower leverage levels. You have to keep watching the lowest margin and make sure it does not get to an unacceptable level. I believe MC has stated that 200 - 300% is acceptable for 100:1 and 50:1 leverage. And, of course, the size of the account will also influence the lowest margin level. The more money you have, the less the MaxMargin setting will affect lowest margin.

Taz is correct. That EA checks once every hour to see what phantom trade is the biggest winner. If the biggest winner is one of the 6 pairs (EURCHF, EURJPY, CHFJPY, GBPCHF, GBPUSD, USDCHF) it places a real trader for that pair. It continues to do that until the Equity is ProfitPct (1.0 default) above Last Flat Equity. Then it closes all trades for the specified profit and starts over again.

These EAs never close just losers. They always wait until the sum of losers and winners is positive and always close for profit, never for loss. Having said that I must also warn that in a fast moving market, if there are a large number of trades to close, it can result in a loss, even though there was a profit when the EA started closing.
