as clay said: know what u want and what product and time u are serving. otherwise the clients will stop using your product or services.

if we start to mix up apples with plums then we are not serious traders.
if this is causing confusion in the thread ... I will stop posting the "scalp endroute trades." Although I think it is also by the dance rules.He uses the Ma's bounces (5/10 is by the rules) and 35sma in 15min is too by the rules. The diference is just use the 5min chart.

well, its not my thread, i am just a visitor using the dance rules for my trading.
its a democratic process, if there is enough interest in M5 endroute trades, then we should discuss it.
but i will be then in the background.
trading is like dancing, don't think and just listen to the music!

Whatever we also analyze Endroute 5min trades, I would like you continue posting your trades and yours ideas. I like your posts and we learn much of them.

I was a multibar retreacement above EMA10 + 18sma 30min...

Take profit arroun RN.

Easy 15pips.

took +16 on this bounce at confluence of the M15 35, H1 10 and RN. Took profit at M15 10.

Had to wait a while for this trade after missing the initial drop earlier. PA hit 35 MA at RN and H1 10. Entered short after hesitation candle on M1 for 15 pips.

You have not created any kind of conflict here. At least I am very grateful to your contribution and for sharing your ideas. This has been just that, a fresh idea for some easy dance at the 5min chart.

Of course, we are using the 5min to fine tune the entries. So your ideas are not far of the original rules. I would say that is an extension of them. It's just my opinion.

I'm all for it Endroute and appreciate your input and ideas. It's good to benefit from more experienced traders and as you say fine tuning of entries with the 5 min chart is what a lot of us are doing.

Could someone explane me the use of 5 min. chart ? how do you fine tune your entrys on it? what exactly you are looking for on this time frame ? is it price action reversal bars or what?

hi fellow dancers,

moments ago it seems that there is a potential entry at the 35sma which is highlighted in the 2nd blue box on the right of the screen.
However, it seem like it is a bounce off the 50EMA instead.
How can i determine which ma will bounce off? As in real time, I would definitely taken the 35sma bounce as it is also near RN.

Really appreciate advice for this situation.

Hello everyone, this is my first post.

Kostas, thanks for starting this thread and sharing. Endroute - glad that you're still around and sharing. Even though I'm a little cross-eyed and dizzy from reading all the posts in the original thread and then this one (has taken 5 days)...I took my first trade off the 5min EUR/USD.


5min - 1 bar retrace to 10EMA (entered at 1.3926 though touched at 1.3922)
15min - 1 bar retrace to 10 EMA
Stop loss 10 pips and spread.

Closed half for 16 pips and then the other half for 22. My original target for 2nd half was the weekly pivot but price started to slow and this is my first decent profitable trade for a long time, so took the pips.

Hi kostas,

I always keep up with your thread and glad to see everything still going well.

Endroute's post made me sit up and take note. I've been stuck between a bit of M1 trading and M15 trading (EO Hater/Ken stuff) for a while now. I find m1 fast and exciting but quite demanding on the eyes but M15 more reliable but quite slow by comparison. Personally, a complimentary M5 strat would suit me very well.

I've started a bit of testing and will gladly share my results and make sure it's well marked "Endroute strat". I exchanged a couple of mails with the fella who kindly answered a couple of questions I had. However, I doubt he wants to get too involved in assessing charts etc so will put up my interpretation of what's going on here.

My first chart is EJ overnight and today. Most of the circles are where price has hit the two yellow mas (these are the 5 and 10) in one candle. Assuming a 10 pip stop, they all hit minimum TP of 1:1.

The one marked "1" is an old fashioned constrainment type trade off the 18 ma, an ma i've actually never used. Not really sure if Endroute would have taken this one or not. The one marked "2" is still in progress but very close to 10 pips profit now as I type. All in all, 6 valid trades, one possible trade with 5/6 winners and one still in progress. Looks like a potentially interesting approach.

Endroute's suggestion is a natural addition to the Dance. We were using the M5 anyway for entries/exits but his observation is very interesting and will benefit our thread. But first we need to thoroughly test it and decide if we are going to adopt it or not (although since Endroute is using it most probably we are going to like it). It would be nice to have you back in the thread, so feel free to test and post your results.

Welcome to the thread Ian,
Usually I take the 35 the first time it is hit. In this case, if you see 7 bars back you will see a touch of M15 35 confluenced with H1 10 and RN. Perfect entry.
I usually take only the first 35 trade so what you are showing I would not have traded.
