PH14 AddMore 01a did I close manually this morning. It had a lot (43!) of trades open and the loss after one night was 13%, which was -$375.
I should give it more credit and let it run longer, but wanted to try another Phantom (see post above)

Anybody else tested/testing the "Ph14 AddMore 01a" or the Ph14 AddMore 01?
I curious about the results, especially the 01 version.

Currently testing Phantom Add6_02. So far so good but I have noticed that once the target is hit it doesn't start over again. I am having to remove the ea and then reload. Is anyone else having the same problems?

Also an update on my live Basket 14_02 ET=2. Still stuck in the leg that started 22/09, however today has seen most of the dd clawed back. Here's hoping for an equity pop soon.

my add6_02 seems to reset just fine, it's been running a couple days and has cranked in 3.8% already, so seems to be working fine here

How long are you waiting for new trades to open? Do you understand the entry criteria?

I left it for half a day after its last close before I reloaded. After reloading it took first trade on the hour.

It took nearly 10 freakin hours for Add6_02 to hit 2 profit targets.
Sheesh. Like watching paint dry.
At this rate, I won't be a millionaire til next week sometime.

Yep takes awhile sometimes, however am sure you've noticed your dd wasnt much either. that's the tradeoff

I took that to mean that every hour, it clears the previous trades that were added in the global variables, so it can look again to see who the biggest winner/loser is and whether there is a previous trade that is profitable in order to add. So it didn't dawn on me to just comment it out, thought it was where I had to add the 30min check and have it clearmarks...
What allows you to call ClearSymbolMarks all the time with no weird effects is the fact that the AllSymbolTradesInProfit and !SymbolMarked checks are redudant.

Both are ways to prevent excessive trades on a symbol.

I like my own iteration just had it running for a mere 17 hours

I think I've created a MONSTER!

I'm still waiting for that high DD though, I know it will happen. Lowest Margin so far is 872.65%, Max Floating DD is 3.62%

In the meantime it's fun to see it open trades and close relatively quickly.

Just wondering about your mention and use of synthetic hedges.

Would you be able to please explain what a synthetic hedge is or at least link me up a website?

I know google is my friend, but apparently not today :-(

Frustrating I know, but you'll definitely fail miserably at trading the forex if you are greedy and impatient - no offence intended, but that's the way it is.

Think of it as a way to get residual income, not a replacement income.

That's how I've come to terms with trading this market.

I realise that, I should have made myself clearer sorry.

I was talking about the six pairs that you chose.

I was also trying to work out what other three pairs would go nicely with these volatile 3 pairs:

GBPUSD
GBPJPY
USDJPY

Hence why I asked for some kind of definition or guidelines to setting up a synthetic hedge like you have with your six pairs.

Within the AddSix EA, we have two synthetic hedges, and these synthetic hedges exist as a subset within our big 14-pair synthetic hedge of:

Group 1, The Phantom Buys

5. NZDUSD
6. AUDJPY
7. EURJPY

Group 2, The Phantom Sells
8. EURUSD
9. USDJPY
10. AUDUSD
11. NZDJPY
12. GBPCHF
13. CHFJPY
14. EURCHF

The following illustration tries to shed light on WHY it's a synthetic hedge. Currency pairs are properly viewed as numerators and denominators. So in the picture we show GBPUSD as GBP above USD. Note how certain numerators and denominators cancel out. After the canceling, the same currencies exists in the numerators and the denominators for both sets of 7.

Phantom14_Add_02_taz managed to pull off an equity pop after opening quite a few trades. Margin had been as low as 365% on my 50:1 demo.
