For anyone who is interested, I've merged Phantom 01a and 02 together to form 01a-the-game.

Does whatever 01a and 02 does, just together :-)

I have been running few EAs since last week on FxOpen demo ($1 a pip). Present drawdown around 270 pips. Very encouraging overall and thanks to MC.
(I have run it from +3 GMT to +14GMT only)

GMT 3 clock in the morning because I sleep more, and 14 clock gmt where I work so I programmed the time?
can not find the setting,

I found a bug in the Phantom EAs

This line in AddIfNeeded():

Inserted Code
for (i = GBPUSDidx; i < EURCHFidx; i++)

Needs to be:

Inserted Code
for (i = GBPUSDidx; i <= EURCHFidx; i++)

because the EURCHF symbol won't get traded on.

I have run it during this period which is my local day time. Nothing special about mentioned timing. So, no worry, you can run it whenever it suits you.

As per my previous posts:
I have successfully figured out how to test out my idea of reversing the losing phantom trades, as well as adding to the winning, so will be sure to share my test results after some time.

Here is something to play with over the weekend. It now graphically shows the standard deviation from regression for the two groups on historical data.

I hope it can be used to determine which group to sell & which to buy for any of the EA's, I'd assume it would have more meaning when they have deviated from each other by a larger amount.

Chart time frame & number of periods for the calculation can be experimented with to see if it shows anything useful? It is quite labour intensive though, so make sure you have historical data for all pairs already on your PC & don't go to nuts with the regression length. (My Netbook really struggles with it).

Oh, and there should be no divide by zero's with this one!

^ No, because it would behave exactly the same.

The purpose of this indicator is to have a graphical representation of the GROUP deviations from their (implied) mean. I intend to use it to run along side the original basket_01 and see if the fastest successful closures correspond to a difference between the deviations above a certain threshold. That threshold is yet to be determined. If there is some kind of connection then it could be used as the basis to buy or sell each group, and possibly determine when to sit aside. This would work whether they are real opening trades or phantom ones.

Because it now shows historical deviations it is possible for anyone who has being keeping trade records of the current EAs to compare them against this indicator and see if there is a pattern.

I started Add_02 less than 48 hrs ago and it's booming! On a $3000 acct, it's up $171. It's had 4 pops. Amazing. I have Add_01 on live with Apari UK and it's not doing so well as the demo's on GoMarkets but it's still doing quite well. Go Markets has tighter spreads. I have thelot size of the 01 live set to .04. It seems so small. do I have it right? That's the one with the $2000.

the only problem i have with this system is....

it sounds just a bit too good to be true.

with +5% a week, since the EA increases lot sizes accordingly....compounded, that's more than 120,000usd in a year, if you started with 10,000usd.

i'm very tempted to put this on a couple thousand USD a/c and then just let it roll.....

Start with a 15min chart and a regression length of 10, then wait a few seconds - like I said, it's a resource hog. It will use all the history data you have, so if you have a lot it will take ages. Instead, you may like to edit it to use a for/next loop and only calculate for the last x number of bars.

Yes, if you are talking about MaxMarginToUse 0.4, at 500:1 leverage on a $2000 acct you are probably getting lot sizes of about .04 on the basket trades and .01 on the add-ons. I would not go any higher. If you use less leverage you can increase MaxMargin per MC's instructions in Post #1. Again, you keep saying you have Lots set at .04. You do not change the Lots setting, only the MaxMarginToUse, which determines the lot size.

Also, Phantom 01a probably won't open trades as-is because I didn't multiply PL_Array[i] by 10.0.

I applied the corrections to Phantom14_Add_01a-the-game as well.

My Phtm_Add_01a has opened 31 trades. However, it is down $300(+). By changing ProfitPct to 0.5 I cut Dollar Profit Target in half. That's why it has opened so many trades and probably why so many are losers. I will start over with your corrected version and leave settings OOTB.

I might add that all my Phantom EAs are down and so is Bskt_Add_01 this morning.

The Phantom EAs have a couple of bugs (corrected now, see earlier post), plus it IS Friday.

I will do my best to make sure the bugs are banished and the Phantoms earn a good reputation.
Open to new approaches.

Thanks again Frazer. You're right. I didn't change the lot size, I changed the MaxMarginTo Use 0.4. Also my Add_01 was down too today. About 130$. I don't understand it all but it's still a little beauty.
