The release of minutes from the last Bank of England monetary policy meeting headlines the economic calendar, though the likelihood of a material shift in the established outlook seems unlikely. The BOE has argued for some time that the recent upswing in prices owes to temporary factors, with inflation set to fall back below 2 percent by 2012. Given such a long time frame, Mervyn King and company are surely going nowhere fast despite a promise to shift policy “in either direction” as needed, a statement likely directed at the domestic audience amid jitters about the fallout from the government’s austerity program. Indeed, a Credit Suisse gauge of rate hike expectations points to a static monetary policy for the coming year.

Could anyone explain why the GBP now are dropping pretty fast?
When the voting was as expected.
I am in short. But that are for other reasons.
Would love a great explination.

bought a small first position at 1.5630, sl at 15545, tp open
will ad a second position if we go lower

Didn`t catch the train... will start buying from 5609 (50fibo) and main position at DP(1,5584) which is 61,8 fibo of yesterday move... looking for 1,5950 at final target...Sl at 5535 (under upward TL )

I rarely expect to take just one position-I am flexible and let a 5 minute "scalp" turn into a short term position trade if it goes that way-we're bullish above 200ema 15m imo

Look at GBPJPY 1H, for example:
Ressitance at 133.40, yesterday 2 very big red candels and since than many candles took to reach the same level with a red candle at the end, seems like sellers rules, shorted 132.77 and took my 40 pips.

GBPUSD - also reached a ressitance level with a long wick candle, couldn't break it and fell down.

Price action!!!

Committee will have to resort to another tranche of QE in the near future – perhaps a further £50bn or so when the fiscal squeeze really kicks in at the start of next year.
