i would love to close my long, but the break of the 2 pivots pt Dailyr2 and wm6 and the up from gold just dont let me do it. Only protecting my long wins so far with tight s/l

i still believe that usdx going up and break 82 sooner or later.. and if so then we can see euro below 2950... US new ahead..something interesting can happened..lets see

My thought is that news are only used to sustain moves, so in this case good or bad numebers will make EU go up either.
Murrey Math on every TF + Divergences on higher TFs

can say like that.. but according to my experience news always effected.. sometime immediate effect and sometime late effect..

thats right but i think it maybe test the support at around 81.25 first.

Trying to gain some insight here T@rantula (or anyone).

Reading info such as here and on FXStreet (bearing in mind it lagging timeframe), and looking back over the year, yes I can see where the likes of possible 1.3123 and even 1.3188 (90) could come from. Not sure about what was being refered to as the intraday 1.3075, but it passed there anyway so no matter.

I opened a long trade (at 10:07 GMT) @ 13073.2 with sl 23 pips. Decided to leave it alone to see what happened else I would like close it at first sign of red. Need to get the hang of leaving these trades!!

Ok, came back few mins ago and it was up some 25 pips but falling back. Decided to move my sl to -11 pips rather than lose everything, but still allow some movement.

Was typing this query to you to ask what size sl you thought good for the trade (when mine was stopped out anyway). I still think there is some upward movement left in EU, just not sure ab out the sl needed to allow for bit of movement without being completely daft.

I tend to trade with 5m or maybe 15m charts using higher tf such as 30m 1hr 4hr as backup views.

My trading is improving, usually, but I really need to do more than just scalp. I had a crazy day yesterday (bit like the days when I first got going). Came home around 2am, looked in and saw some interesting movement. Set a couple of trades going at 03:10 THEN noted the news re BOJ intervention. Only caught little bits of that movement due to my habit of closing too soon (funny how I can let a loss ride longer than a win -bad). Burnt my eyes out at the computer till about 19:00 when I thought I should at least take in some fluid - and maybe eat. Wrote it off as a bad day all round.

Are those arrows entries and exits? or this is an after the fact chart.

If this chart is after the fact and just for analysis and not to show entries and exit. I agree with those fib ext because there is nothing else above that reference (all time highs).

If this chart is not for analysis. Let me tell you that I am impress. You manage to trade from top to bottom on the range by the tick and after trade the 50% ret (ok that is "easy) and after reverse to the right side on the 38.2% to the tick again.

But what it impress me the most is that you avoid other levels for entries and exits and hit the jackpot marking the wave for the fib ret before it was finished and successfully bet on a break of all time high that every single finance person in the word is watching ...

You just need to trade some Gold futures, add size and you are done in a couple months.

No, you explain it very well T@arantula. Thank you for taking the time out from your trading to reply. What you say makes a lot of sense and, apart from the Murray Maths bit which I have no idea about just now but should maybe make it part of my bed time reading :-), I will try to put your advise to good use.
