Just another perspective, especially for new visitors

This type of opening legs and holding them as long as possible is not something you can try just because you are not successful in swing or short term trading or scalping for that matter. On the contrary you need to be good at short term profit making even before you venture into this approach.

You see, you need to be good at short term assessment in order to get more legs on BE rather than loss which is critical (like Graeme said)

Just wanted to make this observation to counter any belief that one switches to long term (particularly this method) just because short term is not working out.

My 2 cents.

for people eager to earn money every day this is not feasible for them!
There are now very bad, but the rewards are unimaginable

i had an interesting week...had most of my weekly hindsights correct as usual, but couldn't get any clear entries on the 5min on those that were correct. I guess the key is to be overly aggressive with the initial entries. definitely frustrating as my week is already over. makes me wonder if 90% of the entries occur monday-wednesday.

What pairs did you have hindsight? Could you post an example of unclear 5 minute?

There is a show on Trading (salon du trading) this week end in Paris. Is anybody planing to attend ? Then we could meet, I'm hoping to be there on saterday.

Read it again. I'm hoping someone posts a greatest hits with links to summarize. Just read the first few pages then look for the posts with charts. It takes a few reads for it to sink in.

Hello!
I started the cycle of operations from August 1, this month was very bad for the system, but the trick is clearly the PATIENCE.
My entries are based on 00 points, is the most coherent for this type of strategy, or choose a certain level of pips, type GRID, enter each 10-20-30-40-50 .... etc pips.
Adds nothing new everything has spoken before in this thread, it's just business as usual, we want to give every cast!
For people who have been through the whole cycle of learning a trader is trading philosophy is treated better, but unfortunately for people who start trading this is not feasible for them, as said Greame "need instant gratification"

I trade for a long time to come SNOWBALL method, which is piling up positions in the same way that Greame dictates, but reading this thread opened my eyes even more, now I just look at the pc 2 or 3 times a day, and I am very relaxed.

Sure. Here are two.

CADCHF:
The red line being the end of the 240m signal bar to start looking for entries. Given I am in EST timezone, I wasn't awake past 0:00 on the chart. Even if I was, I don't see an entrance in that retrace that doesn't get taken out by a b.e.

NZDJPY:
The red line again being end of 240m signal bar. Note only one small entry opportunity, which appeared low-risk in non-hindsight. On a later retrace, there was no entry opportunity due to extreme volatility without any clear setup.

edit: how do I reduce thumbnail size? grrr lol

CAD/CHF appeared to have an entry after the red line when the price closed above the moving average on your chart. That leg would still be growing. Hindsight? Yes, but look to the left and you will see the hindsight to be used to forecast.

My take on this would be to use the line at the lows as a marker and trade the FBs occurring near the line. Seems to work out in the long run.

nice screen-shot, but allow me ask several questions.

- I can see your stop losses are 100 pips ? ! . . . I think Greame strictly recommend using "razor sharp" entries to protect your account balance with small stop losses and moving sl to BE as fast as possible. . . or am i wrong ?

- I can see Take profits also .. . that is also one of the biggiest advantages of this trading method not to use take profits often.

14.9.2010, Usd/Chf, time = 9:59,
- here, you have Long and short opened at same time ! ? little bit confusing for me

I dont want to teach you or so. . . no offence from me and if your trading style suits you and you are profitable then its great.

I would like to kindly ask you about that Usd/chf, because im not sure why such trades. Thank you
