Well Basket14_Add_01 closed out 80 trades in 3 minutes starting at 0623 GMT for a gain of $38.95 (.89%)

That's his second pop today! Total for today : $98.83. Opening bal: $3000. Too good!

Yes, I think you're right, pretty sure I waited until you had fixed the bug. working perfectly here, and finally was able to close that first group for it's 10%. Believe it got another 10% afterward too.

tazmaan, good to hear that. Would you mind telling us the lowest margin reported on the screen comments? And were the closure profits 10% or 1%?

I am pretty sure you could go ahead and start the correct EA with those trades open. I can't say for 100% without trying it myself.

I thought I had loaded the corrected EA, but I guess I must have done it before the revision. I have just uploaded and placed the corrected version on my demo and it looks like it has taken over the existing trades without trying to open new ones. Should be fine now.

MC, I continue to believe that this add on strategy combined with trimming could be very lucrative.

Yes i really dont know what is going on with add 01.it has a problem.i'm sure MetaCoder noticed that already and will fix it somehow soon.

At 17:00 it opened 16 trades of G/D and G/CHF. It opened 16 trades of G/U and U/J at 18:00. At 19:00 it did the same.

This is on a 1k micro demo, so the initial trades are .03, addons are .01.
Lowest margin thusfar has been 144.54%. max floating dd at 23.59%
Appears there was actually only 1 closure, and it totalled 2% ($21)
Not quite sure why, should have been going for 1% maybe the extra 1% was obtained during closure delay.

I hear you Frazer and a version that does what you're saying would be easy to code now that I did the basic Add EA.

As I ponder it, I realize that I don't expect much difference between your suggestion and what currently exists.

Here's why.

If a loser is the Biggest Loser, it means it might have been the Biggest Winner if the trade had been in the opposite direction.

So in either case our new trade is one that is going in the "right" direction of a strongly moving pair.

But if we reverse a Biggest Loser rather than add a trade on an existing open pair, we maintain the balance of unique pairs in the basket.

This is my explanation for why I have hesitated to implement your suggestion.

Now if I think more positively about your suggestion, it's possible that UNdiversifying and allowing multiple trades on strong pairs could be a more winning way to go.

I guess we won't know unless I code it.

OK, thank you, that's good and interesting data.

Lowest margin and max floating DD are at uncomfortable levels.

Yes, fast market action during closure can get that extra gain.

I understand and I really wasn't referring to my previous idea of adding to a winner rather than reversing the loser. I think doing both, reverse the biggest losers and add small lots of the biggest winner separately would be a good strategy.

Yeah, agree, would be more than happy to put the idea on a forward test, if you are willing to code it
Sort of along the lines of the pm I sent, about reversing losers greater than target dollar, as well as adding to winners greater than target dollar. Still curious how it would work out.

I also had thought about the possibility of using minus dollar target rather than 24 hour highs/lows with ET for cutting losers. It might work well.

add 01 still adds trades i have 159 open trades.no one closed yet.anything should i do to make it works better?
